February 8, 201610 yr Tried to get the vine of his reaction in embedded, but just click that link and you'll see: That reaction was right after CJ Anderson's TD. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/02/08/eli-manning-didnt-look-too-thrilled-about-brother-peyton-winning-the-super-bowl/ I guess since his brother has as many rings as him. Thanks for explaining. Good gotcha for the social media groupies and media headline hunters. I bet they got some hits out of that.
February 8, 201610 yr Ended up staying up for the entire game which I hadn't expected. I figured Denver's defense would keep them in the game but I expected Caroline to pull it out in the end. I know it's a cliché but I sure expect Carolina to be back. No reason Denver can't also return if they can keep that D together. It's too bad that Carolina's defense is being overlooked as they also played a whale of a game.
February 8, 201610 yr Who was more upset last night: John Fox or Eli Manning? I am going with Jim Irsay.
February 8, 201610 yr Let's not get silly. McCarron had two really good drives to start the game and then got dominated. Once they figured him out, it was ugly. Thing is this Denver D was great without being "old school". They got after the passer with 4 and 5, crushed the run and kept teams out of the end zone. It wasn't really about being "nasty". They got you off the spot, defended the entire field and still shut down the run. They were GREAT and should be the story here... If Ware was 3 years younger, he and Miller could have ended up as the best 3-4 OLB pairing of All Time, along w/ Banks and Taylor and Greene and Lloyd.
February 8, 201610 yr Denver's T J Ward has to be the worst person in Super Bowl history running with a football. An INT and fumble recovery, both followed by a stumbling bear crawl and after the INT he fumbled the ball himself.
February 8, 201610 yr Defensive end Kony Ealy of Carolina turned in one of the greatest games in Super Bowl history: three sacks, a forced fumble, a recovered fumble and an interception. The second-round pick in '14 from Missouri tied the single-game Super Bowl record with his three sacks and became the first player in Super Bowl history with multiple sacks and an interception.
February 8, 201610 yr Who was more upset last night: John Fox or Eli Manning? Let's not overreact. Eli was not upset that his brother was about to win...
February 8, 201610 yr Eli always has that dumb look on his face. Anyone who thinks he was upset is a moron
February 8, 201610 yr Let's not overreact. Eli was not upset that his brother was about to win... Yeah, but where is the fun in that lol.

At the end of the day the Bengals still only scored 17 points. Which was more than two of the teams the Broncos beat in the playoffs. Some of those throws he made in those first two drives were in to very tiny windows because of how great the coverage was. The Broncos defense is one of the best of all time, just stating how much more impressive that made McCarrons game against them in only his second start. Wasn't great but considering what this defense did to three future hall of fame qbs in the playoffs it does make it impressive. And shows the Bengals who in the 90s couldn't find a good qb to save their lives, now have a very good qb in Dalton and a qb in McCarron who probably will have a good career too.
February 8, 201610 yr Has a defense ever dominated and won a Super Bowl like Denver's did in this one? The whole game I kept thinking that Carolina was going to finally break loose but Denver's defense never let it happen. The Bucs over the Raiders
February 8, 201610 yr Although the Panthers had the highest scoring offense, they are pretty vanilla. It ALL revolves around Cam and he is extremely difficult to stop. The Broncos put them in 2nd and 3rd and long most of the game and that goes against the strength of the Panthers. They make their living on play action due to effective running. Their receivers cannot get enough separation against Man coverage, therefore, the Broncos could use single coverage on all but Olsen and then bring the heat. Miller and Ware basically teeing off will beat every tackle in the league if they are not worried about the run. They kept Cam in the pocket and he just couldn't make the throws. Mostly due to no true #1 receiver. Give this guy an AJ, Julio, Dez and wow he will be almost unstoppable. Broncos are just better.
February 8, 201610 yr Bronco's Safety TJ Ward's comments are sort of funny, They want to be famous. We want to be champions. They want to be rappers and backup dancers. We want to play football.
February 8, 201610 yr Can't believe the Bengals nearly beat those guys in Denver. Just goes to show the anti- Bengal crowd how close that team is to being a SB champion.
