Track the Reds (Second Half)

While it does seem like adding a few bandaids here and there, I think there is a lot more to Krivs actions. Most of these guys are going to be FA's at the end of the year, and he's going to have a lot to work with. So he's doing all he can to win this year without adding an expensive veteran starter we don't want to be stuck with for a few years. Just MO...

Not out of the range of possibility... St. Louis would have to go 25-19 (.568 winning percentage the rest of the way).

Cincy would have to go 27-16 (.628).

The upcoming west coast swing will be a MAJOR determinant as to the Reds' chances, as well as the next two games vs. the Cards.

Might be but putting bandages on a open gash, is not the answer.

The Reds are hovering near .500 and are near the lead, in several offensive categories and they still, acquire relief pitching....said it before the season, during the season and now "Starters".....

Oh well.

I agree they need starters, but unless the Reds dip into the minor league system, they are not going to acquire somone through a waiver trade.

The trade for Schoeneweis is the sure up the left handed side of the bullpen with the absence of Mercker and the uncertainty of Guardado and his shoulder stiffness.

I like the move, doesn't hurt us much and with the Franklin pick-up looking better everyday, this move looks ok.

I think it proves that several pitchers in the pen aren't up to snuff health-wise and you may see another move made. Majewski, Mercker, and possibly Eddie.

That's odd, the older I get, I can't get my arms to tighten.

Either way it's not good... Reds need a big boost from Bronson tonight. It would go a long way for the team...

Welcome to the everyday lineup Edwin, glad Jerry has seen the light, please stay as long as you want.

Heard Steve say at the beginning of the broadcast that Marty is gone on ANOTHER vacation... Seems odd to me. :sssh:

Anyone going to a KISS concert soon? We need answers!

Welcome to the cleanup spot Edwin, you're never leaving again.

Griffey's dad has prostate cancer and his mom has colon cancer. This was reported in the STL Post Dispatch this morning. Hal McCoy says Jr told him and the other beatwriters about it a couple of weeks ago and asked them to wait to report it.

Bronson if you dont get number 10 tonight, (not counting a let down by the pen or defense) you might not ever get it.
