August 16, 200620 yr If I remember rightly, the Redlegs laid an egg in the first game of the Cards series last week, then won the next two. It ain't over just yet. By the same token, does anyone else think the division can be taken with less than 85 wins this year?
August 16, 200620 yr By the same token, does anyone else think the division can be taken with less than 85 wins this year? I doubt 85 is enough, but I don't think it will be much higher. 90 would be a suprise at this point...

August 16, 200620 yr The Drubbies tie up Houston it the top of 9. Lidge replaced after another blown save...
August 16, 200620 yr Drubs and Stros going to the 11th. HUGE missed chance for Houston in the 10th...
August 16, 200620 yr Ryan Freel RF Scott Hatteberg 1B Ken Griffey Jr. Edwin Encarnacion 3B Adam Dunn LF Brandon Phillips 2B Royce Clayton SS Jason LaRue C Aaron Harang P Glad to see Narron decided to go ahead and give the Cards 3 automatic outs. What is Narron really trying to prove here? How can you honestly think that by playing LaRue in a playoff chase is benficial.
August 16, 200620 yr Drubs hit two balls 400+ for 2 outs in the top of 12. This one isn't going well for the Reds...

August 16, 200620 yr Reds record with LaRue in is roughly 10 or 11 over 500. Roughly 6 or so under with Ross as the starter. OK Rank in order who you would rather have caught tonight? LaRue, Valentin, and Ross.
August 16, 200620 yr OK Rank in order who you would rather have caught tonight? LaRue, Valentin, and Ross. Ross Valentin LaBooo I'm not disagreeing with you just stating the facts.:thumb:
August 16, 200620 yr Reds record with LaRue in is roughly 10 or 11 over 500. Roughly 6 or so under with Ross as the starter. That's silly talk. Games won with so and so in the lineup means very little, in this situation. Chew on these stats. AB R H HR RBI OBP SLG AVG OPS LaRue 162 17 29 5 17 .309 .296 .179 .606 Ross 154 24 43 14 35 .370 .630 .279 1.000 Valentin 146 18 35 5 21 .294 .384 .290 .677 Granted Valentin is the weakest defensively. LaRue does better throwing runners out. LaRue has quite a few PB Statistically percentage wise Ross and LaRue are very similar. No way you should keep Ross's production at the plate on the bench.
