As far as a neighbor saying they didn't call the police as they didn't want to be seen as a racist. If you are a level headed person and if you think that you have a legitimate concern, call!

 

If you are a person such on some airplanes lately that complains because someone is speaking in a foreign language or wearing a headset (which has happened lately), then pass off the decision to someone else who may be able to think a bit better.

Why should the government care about guns. They do gun running all the time and terrorist end up with them. Heck they even ended up in the Mexican Cartel's hands and killed a border patrol agent.

Take away the guns, they still have their pipe bombs. But continue to try and take away our rights to defend ourselves against these radicals. To the average left winger, it appears that as long as their family aren't affected, they will keep drinking the kool aid.

It's not the way that a person who is familiar with bombs would go, too many things could set it off.

 

But as was said earlier this is looking like terrorism and work place violence, something made him move up and change his plans.

I do think we need better gun control, stating with following the laws already on the books now. One thing, a Texas lawmaker stated that it would be too easy for refugees to get guns in his state. That needs to change! How can we help keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them yet allow people like us to have as many guns as we want?

 

I agree, gun control will not stop all events like this, as it won't stop terrorists, foreign or domestic. Take away all guns and explosive devices? Well a 1 ton SUV full speed into a crowd can do a good amount of damage.

No way...its GOT to be more than that. For every person that doesn't have/own a gun, I can find a guy with 5. Heck, I have 6 myself (inherited 3 after my dads passing recently) and I don't consider myself a big "gun guy" really insofar as having a lot of them and doing a lot of shooting. Now I know to some having 6 guns might sound like an arsenal (I have to snicker at that but it is what it is)...however the point of my post is I think there are a lot more than 360 million firearms in the country.

I'm not from Ft. Thomas. Have only been there a handful of times. Gun ownership, hunting, and target shooting has been in my family for generations. Not one of us has shot someone nor even been accidentally injured by a firearm.

We have been pulling down the foundations of our culture since at least the 1960's. Should we be surprised when we see society-wide upheaval?

It's a blunt object--the #1 murder weapon in America.

 

Just because people are getting more comfortable with the idea does not mean it's a good thing. Free speech is in danger due to PC. The freedom of religion is under assault under the guise of tolerance. And the right to bear arms is being attacked. The first and second amendments are being restricted and some people are willing to allow it to happen. I am not.

 

I gave you my family history with guns. Can you tell me why my right to bears arms should be infringed upon by the government?

 

Gun control does not address the reasons that murder and violence occur, therefore, gun control is not the solution to it. This is very basic.

 

Instead, gun control is a step towards government tyranny, a far more dangerous threat than gun-ownership.
