December 3, 201510 yr 1) Apparently had an IED factory in his home (Was already planning on attacking something) 2) This just happened to be a target of opportunity, if he did in fact get mad at someone at the party...he just shifted his target from what ever it was going to be to this location. #2 really makes you wonder. This isn't like anything we've really seen. I remember the last time we said that about 14 years ago.
December 3, 201510 yr This is in part because each time these shootings happen the first thing that the president does is go to the podium and call for stricter gun laws, yet gives no logic behind his rhetoric! As far as getting used to theses shootings, Obama says not to accept them as normal, sounds like you and I disagree with him on that. I applaud the president for caring, but really, given the power the NRA has over the GOP delegation in Congress, nothing is going to change. We all just need to brace ourselves for one of these rampages every seven days or so.

The police also deny that they have confirmed the suspects had go pro cameras on them.

We all just need to brace ourselves for one of these rampages every seven days or so. One person with a concealed carry firearm could have at least limited the number killed and at the outside ended the event all together.
December 3, 201510 yr People like you have been saying this for decades. Hasn't happened yet. Despite what you and those of your ilk want, gun ownership is a Constitutionally guaranteed right. Here's the thing, people with guns have defended your and my rights since the inception of this great nation. You can't just pick and choose which rights the Constitution guarantees to defend. You must defend them all whether you agree with them or not. See post #362. We all must grow thicker skins to deal with these once-a-week mass shootings. Since a significant portion of the U.S. population believes more guns -- not gun control -- is the answer, then it's up to all of us to accept these rampages as "normal."

December 3, 201510 yr Heard an this morning that this guy may have unwittingly been recruited by Radical Islamist. Met a woman through an on-line dating site, where he had discussed his faith and love of target shooting. Someone said this would be exactly what a recruiter for radicalization would be looking for in a recruit. It is thought that his new wife (and others that he met in Saudi Arabia) may have been used to radicalize his thoughts and put him on this path. I feel like I mentioned this around post 269. I always underestimate the Internet engine.

December 3, 201510 yr I agree. My point is that this should not be assumed to be a Muslim terrorist (aka ISIS) threat. Wouldn't two terrorists who are Muslim be considered Muslim terrorists?
