One report I heard on CNN/FOX/HLN/MSNBC (can't remember which) was that he was mad about there being a Christmas Tree at the party/meeting...surely that's not what set him off.

1) Apparently had an IED factory in his home (Was already planning on attacking something)

 

2) This just happened to be a target of opportunity, if he did in fact get mad at someone at the party...he just shifted his target from what ever it was going to be to this location.

Someone said this would be exactly what a recruiter for radicalization would be looking for in a recruit.

 

It is thought that his new wife (and others that he met in Saudi Arabia) may have been used to radicalize his thoughts and put him on this path.

Why didnt the wife just tell him to take a chill pill and quit being stupid and go on with their lives and raise their kid?

Let's address this since it has been mentioned media wide now. Thousands of guns are bought legally on a daily basis. Events like this motivate more purchases and justifiably so. Old Grappler nailed it in his first post on this thread and it is my sincere hope you all let that post sink in and appreciate it.

 

So why is it important all of a sudden to qualify how they got the guns?

 

Did they purchase the guns in Paris "legally?" Black market weapons will always be available to those who want them for whatever purpose. I know this much, it is my sincere hope that God forbid if any one of all of us reading this post are in a similar situation to what happened in San Bernadino or Paris is being fired upon I would find solace in knowing there may be concealed carry citizens willing to act on site to limit the bloodshed!

 

So here's the more important ? Do " weapon free zones" need to be eliminated. Or do those zones have a person/s always armed to retaliate in case of shooting instances?

People would rather take away all the guns in America, even though it's not possible, than to have armed guard presence that you find in Israel. We're still living in a make believe place that everyone likes each other and will get along.

As I mentioned last week, if this is terrorism with it being a radical Muslim, this is how they recruit people. They are like gangs, they prey on certain types of people, I brought up the fact that they see having a wife that is 100% compliment.

The left can scream it until their face turns blue but they know they don't have a single law that could have stopped this short of outlawing all guns. If that's what they want go on record and say that is their goal. Otherwise all the other proposals mean nothing and wouldn't have prevented this attack.

 

Why won't these leaders go on record and say they want to ban all guns? They know a large majority of America is against that. So they can go and post online who the NRA contribute to , guess what that isn't going to impact anything. A large portion of America knows to be a truly free society , citizens have the right to be armed. If you don't believe in that right you don't believe in freedom.

Not sure if it's been on the news yet or not, but I'm hearing that they may have found toy remote control cars, to remotely set off bombs.

Whenever we have one of these mass shootings, the conversation usually turns -- as it did here -- to the Ft. Thomas crowd worrying about "the government" coming after their guns and ammo.

 

We now have about 360 million firearms in the US of A. More guns than people. Thanks Obama. (Sarcasm)
