In college football, coaches are either getting hired or getting fired. Miles he has turned down Michigan at least twice the past 6 seasons to stay at LSU. It is hard to feel sorry for him considering he will earn 15 million if he is fired. IMO, they should keep Les and fire Cam Cameron. Cameron is one of the most over rated, over paid coaches in America. The Ravens won the Superbowl a few years back because the fired Cameron mid-season. The offense is the issue at LSU.

If he gets fired, he'll land on his feet. Possibly even South Carolina.

If LSU fires Les Miles, that would be the dumbest move ever, IMO.

I was coming here to say the same thing. Sounds like it will happen today or some time this week.

This has all happened over the course of 14 days. Things can shift in no time.

one word.....................MEDIA....................

I agree with what some have already said that sometimes a change of scenery could refocus a coach. After 11 years at LSU perhaps that would be the case, however, from the LSU point of view, I don't see who they think that they could get that would do any better the Les Miles. He is currently 110-32 (77.5%) while at LSU and has won 10+ in 7 of 11 seasons (63.6%). For the sake of comparison Nick Saban at LSU was 48-16 (75%) and won 10+ in 2 of 5 seasons (40%). IMO, they can go after a new coach but I don't see the results really being any better year in and year out than they are right now.

The only criticism I would have for Les is his inability to bring in really good QBs.

I get what you're saying but Harris was highly recruited, Meyer wanted him.

College coaches who 'may' be better than Les Miles, in no particular order-

1. Urban Meyer

2. Mike Dantonio

3. Kirk Ferentz

4. Nick Saban

5. Jimbo Fisher

Not a very big list.

LSU folks are making a huge mistake....he is in my top 3 coaches in the land

How many guys like Harris is he going to take that just don't get them over the hump?

All comes down to one thing. Les has lost his last 5 against Saban...
