May 12, 201511 yr What is interesting now is Wells is coming out,basically because he is tired of Brady's agents accusations etc. and has said that he told Brady and his agent both he had no problem not being given Brady's phone if they were worried about him seeing embarrassing info unrelated to the investigation etc. and that Brady OR the agent could go through the phone and only turn over documents in the phone pertaining to the investigation and Brady and his Agent both still refused to do even that. So any excuse saying he Brady didn't want anyone to see from his phone is false. He didn't even have to give up his phone. That even makes Brady look worse.
May 12, 201511 yr They showed where both teams balls were measured using 2 gauges. 1 gauge showed all their balls within the limits. That se gauge showed all pats balls under the limits. The 2nd gauge showed 4 of the colts balls just under the limits but that same guage showed all of the pats balls way under the limit. So basically the 2 gauges were showing a disparity of say .8 lbs but even taking that into account ALL the pats balls were well under the limit with both gauges. Only 1 of the gauges showed any colts under and barely under. So obviously at least one of the gauges is defective. How do we know that either is correct? Can the NFL not afford to make sure that they have at least two reliable gauges available for such a big game? Is it possible that the Patriots set their balls to the lower limit of 12.5 psi and then the weather was responsible for it falling below the legal limit? I believe there are far too many questions, and that if appealed to an unbiased arbitrator, the penalties will be reduced.
May 12, 201511 yr Only to people that care that much... Yep. The Brady/Patriots hate that's out there is mind boggling. He broke a rule. A minor rule that I'm betting not 10 NFL fans even knew about. A rule that we don't know has any actual effect on gameplay. A rule that Aaron Rogers admits he breaks, but on the other side (over inflation). Ana now Brady is the biggest and worst cheater ever. Sorry, I just don't agree. I'll say it again...the punishment isn't for breaking the rule. The punishment is for not coming clean about it. I used to use pine tar on my throwing hand during really hot baseball games for better grip because I sweat a lot. Did I cheat?? Maybe so. But so did the pitcher who wanted to use a scuffed ball to get a little better movement. There are more athletes living on the edge of or just slightly over what the rules allow than not. What Brady did just simply wasn't evil and nefarious. He just should have owned it and moved on.

My four years of collegiate flag football experience can tell you that haha! But for real, our QB threw the ball much better and was easier to catch when he took some air out of it.

I don't have the biggest hands so I can gripe a softer ball better. Someone with big hands and strong gripe probably likes them harder (see Aaron Rodgers). I would beat Farve liked them harder as well but just a guess.

Who cares how much air is in the ball (not including the kicking ball). If they want to play with a completely flat football so be it.

May 12, 201511 yr The ref that checked the balls could not remember what gauge he used to check the balls but he thinks it was the one that had the higher readings. But he can't be certain. Classic.
