NKY Coaches 06-07 Pre-Season Picks

I agree, Kiernan has potential to be top 3 but I'd take Jefferson and Hester above him. Hopefully he can improve from the line, that will be huge for the big man.

I disagree. I don't think Kiernan will be a top 3 pick. I think this because I feel that NCC will have a tough time getting the ball to him. They lost a lot in the guard spot due to graduation. They will have serious trouble getting the ball into their half court offense in which Kiernan find success. I just don't see him having that good of a season next year simply due to his surrounding cast.

Any word of Edmonson if he is still at Holmes?

Any word of Edmonson if he is still at Holmes?

Edmondson is still at Holmes and will PROBABLY be back with them again next year as well...certain factors are kind of forcing him to stay. But the name I was referring to was at Open Gym with the team and will probably return next year. But I dont want to throw the name out just yet until I know for sure he's returning. It will definetly make the team hands down favorite to win region though, returning all 5 from their original team.

I don't know if Arrez is top 5. I think he is accurately placed, maybe should be ahead of Ryan out of HC.

IMO Arrez is definetly top 5 next year. He has the most hops and an added year of experience should make him a smarter player. If he can develop his mid range jumper, he could be top 3 imo.

Dixie Heights will surprise many, many people next year... just wait and see

I just heard the same thing this morning from a very, very reliable source.

Please. You're insulting our intelligence with your "code".

If Rice is back next year and Coach Henley and the administration at Holmes are OK with it, good for Rice.

I don't see how you can say Dixie will surprise people when they are losing their two best players in Lawson and Keener. They really didn't have anything besides their starters.

Thats if they all can stick it out this season. What would make anyone think that they could?

Could be more of the same of this year's saga.

Didn't mean to try to insult anyone's intelligence. I just didnt want to throw any names out there, but yes it is Rice who may be returning back to Holmes. But to answer the question, I believe with the four being seniors this year (Rice, Edmondson, Hill, Jefferson), I dont see them letting those little problems get in the way when they know they have the potential to be something special. One thing they lacked last year was senior leadership.. If Rice is willing to meet the criteria to rejoin the team, he must want to change some things and try to put the past behind him and move on.

Dixie will have a nice team they are still going to be a year away before they return to the Colonels of old... Junior Kyle Kendall will shine next year.. Dixie has guys that can shoot the three i believe Cole is going to be back correct me if im wrong. Mace may be better this year. I think if Chevy wants this team to be successful then they need to adjust to thier position players..Dixie will have a very good Freshman Class next year.

I have not watched the Cooper kid from BB. He may be outstanding. If he's better than Henderson, look out.

Cooper is a force down low with a nice touch around the basket. Reminded me a lot of Pat Elliott from Pendleton County. Also one of the top-ranked shot-putters in the state this year.

The top ranked... 25th in the nation, Coop is very, very strong.
