The top ranked... 25th in the nation, Coop is very, very strong.

yeah... I know someone from around here that has been throwin' since he was in eight or ninth grade and now is around 45-48 feet throwin' shot and has to deal with knowing that at most meets he is competing for second going in...

Didn't he just start throwing last year also? its unreal how far he throws...

Didn't mean to try to insult anyone's intelligence. I just didnt want to throw any names out there, but yes it is Rice who may be returning back to Holmes. But to answer the question, I believe with the four being seniors this year (Rice, Edmondson, Hill, Jefferson), I dont see them letting those little problems get in the way when they know they have the potential to be something special. One thing they lacked last year was senior leadership.. If Rice is willing to meet the criteria to rejoin the team, he must want to change some things and try to put the past behind him and move on.

Even though they lost Brown from the previous season, that bunch last season should have matured enough during their sophmore season but they didn't. When the preseason papers came out they said the "infighting" was no big deal but apparently it is, once again they should be one of the favorites, hopefully they learned a thing about humility last season, nothing is guaranteed in hoops or life.

Yes he did just start throwing last year, and is just learning the techniques involved in the sport. Bright future, and will be attending some camps this summer!!

Please. You're insulting our intelligence with your "code".

If Rice is back next year and Coach Henley and the administration at Holmes are OK with it, good for Rice.

I wonder if a good math student would be allowed back after the stunts he pulled?? What do you have to do to get tossed in Covington these days??

Lets be careful on what we assume he actually did. Lots of stories. Many not true.

There are two stories I know of that were leaked by people associated with Holmes in some sort of way, that are completly and utterly false.

The kid made a mistake, but its not as an extreme as some have heard. He deserved his punishment but if he is truley remorseful and ready to shape up, then he is only a kid and should be given another shot. Only the coach gets that decision not anyone else.

If Rice and Edmonson are back at Holmes next year they will destroy most teams.

I don't see how you can say Dixie will surprise people when they are losing their two best players in Lawson and Keener. They really didn't have anything besides their starters.

Man one thing I have learned about you is you almost ALWAYS mention Lawson and Keener... yea they were both very good players and are key losses, but obviously you don't know enough about the Dixie program and who is playing. Their junior (going to be senior) class is good, although most people don't realize it. Coach Chevy was VERY big into playing the seniors last year the majority of the minutes, but Kevin Lubrano, TJ Richardson and Jared Shields who are all apart of the junior class saw significant playing time. Matt Mosier (recovering from a torn acl from football season) will be back and Jon Simpson is another going to be senior who will surprise people. Dixie will be good, you will see and so will all the other doubters, fact is, I believe they will be better than this years past team.

Also, Goldenboy, Justin Cole was a senior.

Both will most likely be back..Edmondson for sure, but Rice there are still a few questions...i was told from a couple parents that he was attending open gym with the team so he may be back.

The difference between the team led by Brown and this years team was when problems arose like the one that occurred this year, he was there to step in and take control and get everyone in line. This year they didnt have that leader to keep the egos in check.

But as you said, hopefully they learned a lesson from last season because if these boys can play together as a TEAM, there is no reason why we shouldn't see them walk through nky and make noise at Rupp.

I mention Lawson and Keener because they carried Dixie this year. I will give you that Lubrano was a contributor this year, but from the 7 games I saw this past season he was the only Junior that got significant playing time.

Since you have seen more Dixie games than me, your perception might be a little better than mine.

In my opinion, Rick Tyler's boy will be the best player Dixie has this coming year.

TJ Richardson and Jared Shields (until getting hurt) both played big minutes last year and key roles.... Yes Eflin Tyler is who you are speaking of and he is a very good player. I assume he will play a lot, may even get the chance to start, but I'm not sure if he is the best player quite yet...

Please don't tell me that you are saying Richardson and Shields will be Dixie best players this coming season, because that is so ridiculous it is not even worth discussing this anymore.
