January 12, 201511 yr All teams will struggle at some point with inferior teams they shouldn't lose to. Nothing more IMO. As long as that struggling is happening in early Jan, I think we can all agree that we are cool with it.
January 12, 201511 yr You know what, I say there is someone to blame for their underachievement... The fans are to blame. Because they believe that winning games by a slim margin is underachieving.
January 12, 201511 yr The main reasons for Kentucky's lackluster week has to be the 10 day layoff and lack of consistency with the rotations. The platoon system had the players used to playing in those lineups and now that players are playing in different rotations they have lost some of the rhythm and on court chemistry they had. Those are the two things that hurt them this week. As far as underachieving, they haven't done so IMO thus far. Like someone said, it will not be underachieving until they get knocked out of the tourney.
January 12, 201511 yr I think they need to still learn how to play a little without Poythress still too. He would have had some key plays in both of these last two games and would have definitely helped keep them from going to overtime.
