December 6, 201411 yr False, if you need an emergency bathroom on a road trip this is the place to go. Not always. A couple of years back. Stopped for bathroom break. Place was disgusting. One of the kids slipped and fell in the restaurant. Floor had crap all over it. Not one employee came out to assist us. Anyone ever watch the documentary on what is in their food? It will open your eyes.
December 6, 201411 yr I may be wrong but I believe my home county, Owsley, is the only county in the state that doesn't have a national franchise restaurant. The only places to dine are a couple of family owned hamburger carry-out restuarants, a couple of family owed pizza places, and one country style cooking restaurant. There's never been a national franchise of any kind in Owsley. I suppose our population of 4,500 is one reason, and the county seat of Booneville is not located in an area where there's much traffic passing through from other counties would be another reason.
December 6, 201411 yr I've pondered the double lane thing too myself trying to decide if it's a good or bad idea, and I've concluded that it does seem to have 3 main advantages. 1. Lessons the amount of cars wrapped around the building by condensing them to two lanes thereby causing less of an issue with cars entering the parking lot to park. 2. Gets the employees on top of your order sooner making the line go faster. 3. (For McDonald's sake) Gives the illusion that the line is not too long making some potential customers not reconsider and go to another restaurant instead. ^ None of the above work for McDonalds in Cold Spring,Alexandria or Maysville for that matter Just the few times have been to either of those drive thru's, have been bypassed by 2-3 while I'm still waiting to place an order in the other lane, it sounds bad to say but I felt like punching the crap out of somebody at the time,lol. Needless to say, I go in to order at McD's only

You're reading my mind sister, I was just about to say the same. It is strange, and I'd have to believe that most any metropolis of its size would normally have one. I wonder why McD's has not had one downtown all these years?
December 8, 201411 yr On a side note, downtown cincy used to have 3 Frisch's locations pretty much until the early 90's and now they don't have one downtown location at all. Not sure why. Perhaps they've tried mostly to have locations at the end of and exit ramp? Perhaps it's more difficult to have delivery trucks make deliveries in a downtown location? You would think that Frisch's would benefit tremendously by having at least one downtown. It makes little sense to me how they went from 3 to none? :idunno:
