New McDonalds Coming To Cold Spring

Featured Replies

Robertson County does not either.

Robertson and Owsley are the two smallest populated counties in the state. It's all about marketing possibilities and these two counties are too small, I suppose. Heck, we just got our first stop light last year. That was a major event for Owsley Countians!:D

But it would sure be nice to be able to drive only a couple of miles and get a Wendy's Double Cheeseburger, a baked potato, and a bowl of hot chili.:hungry:

Was there Sunday always go to Canes when in lexington

Working for a company that deals with restaurant industry our customer service rep just returned from a BK convention the main talk from franchises was that they need to clean up stores (lol).

Also supposedly the some local BK ‘s have been purchased by a different franchise.

Downtown Cincinnati hasn't had a McDonald's in at least 20 - 25 years. I think the closest one is across the river in Covington.

It used to be on 6th street.

The only fast food joint downtown is Wendy's, and that place usually has 2 lines out the door at lunch time. Arby's was the most recent to close it's doors, and it was always packed at lunch time too. I never understood why there weren't more fast food places downtown.

Now, there's a Subway on every block down there.

Fun fact: McDonald's accepts competitor coupons. I gave my kids some of the Halloween free kids meal coupons from Frisch's and they have been using them at McD's to get free happy meals!

False, if you need an emergency bathroom on a road trip this is the place to go.

The prosecution rests, your Honor.

Thats because they have that Wendy's in the Heart of Down town.

Alexandria has both a block from each other. Not buying your reasoning.

Downtown Cincy chain restaurants that used to be there, that are no longer...

Arby's - They once had a location at 6th & Walnut (Where Nada Mexican now is) that moved to 6th & Vine (where Panera Bread now is).

KFC - They used to have a 6th & Vine location that turned into an Arby's, but is now a Panera Bread.

McDonalds - On 6th between Vine & Walnut.

Frisch's - On 6th between Walnut & Main, On 4th between Walnut & Main, and on the corner of 4th & Elm (At one time they were all in operation, then one by one they all disappeared).

White Castle - Guessing around 4th or 5th and Broadway and has been gone since the 1980's (Technically there is still one at W. 8th street attached to a Marathon Gas Station).

Taco Bell - On 6th between Vine & Walnut.

Popeye's Chicken - There used to be on in the 19th block of Linn St.

On Vine between 4th & 5th in the Carew Tower building, a few short years back there was a coffee chain that I have since forgotten their name, that came and went.

I'd imagine there's more, but at the moment that's all that I can think of.

Freaky Fact (Only chain related fact, but not restaurant related)

In Covington on Philadelphia Street between 4th & 5th (Near the interstate entrance and exit ramps) there is a Speedway Gas on the corner of Philly & 4th, and there used to be a Shell Gas on the corner of Philly & 5th, but the Shell is now a Speedway, which means now there is literally a Speedway directly next door to a another Speedway.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a Burger King west of Fountain Square. It was either on Race or Elm between 6th and 7th.

That one has been gone for a long time as well. If you stay in downtown Cincinnati, you better like Subway or Skyline.
