Dixie is good. They have 2 D1 players on their o line. The D is very good. Plus Moore!! This isn't your normal 6a NKY team!!

I thought H was a reference to Male!

It was, some people are just obsessed with Highlands. We understand.

Trinity. Mine eyes hath seen the glory...

Bottom line is you can't say this team beat this team by 15, and this team lost to that team by 10, so this team will win by 25. Dixie is a completely different team than the one that lost 41 to 7 to Cov Cath in the 9:30am Saturday peewee league special. By the way Cov. Cath. get a fund raiser together and PUT UP SOME LIGHTS!

Back to T and Dixie. This game, like all others is about the matchups. I think it will be very clear early in the game, if Dixie can run the ball on T and make it a competitive game, or if Trinity can stuff the run and make it a long day for the Red Colonels. Dixie cannot have its defense on the field all day and have a chance to bring home the hardware. If Dixie can effectively move the ball against Trinity, its defense will hold up and should be a heck of a game. If Trinity stuffs the run, then title #23 will be heading to the Shamrocks.

If your that upset about no lights, how about ponying up yourself? Got years and years ahead playing each other now that Cov Cath and Dixie will be in the same 5A district together- you might as well quit crying about it and fork it over.

BTW- Trinity by three TD's.

I would really like to see NKY 6A win but will be happy if Dixie can make it a game. I thought they had a good chance a couple weeks back and while Dixie is playing great ball, Trinity just seems to have hit a new gear.

The biggest edge in this game I believe goes to Trinity simply because they have been there before. Everyone of those players that aren't sophomores have played in the state title game and whether people will admit it or not, the nerves for first time players is a real thing. I know for a fact 2 years ago it had a huge affect on Cooper and it took them a little while to settle into the game and by that time they were already looking up at a deficit. Once they calmed down they played even with BG the rest of the way but the damage was already done.

I hope Dixie can come out relaxed and just play some football, but I think the nerves will get the best of some of them for a bit until they get back into Football mode.

I think Coach Brossart will do a good job of getting the Dixie players to focus on themselves and not Trinity or the stage. If he does, the nerves may be subdued. We'll see Saturday night though.

Off-topic but discussed in this thread: Why is Male referred to as H?

"H" as in "high" school. I think they were one of the first , if not the first, high schools in Louisville. H has something to do with that.

This is true, several of the Junior & most Senior starters on D & O played in that state championship game 2 years ago, I do hope it helps calm the nerves

"Nerves" in the playoffs is why I ALWAYS prefer to Kickoff & play D at the beginning of the game, get those nerves out on Defense, and that way when everything settles down you'll have the possession 1st starting the 2nd half. Even if I had a juggernaut of an offense I will still prefer to do that.

Really pulling for Ryan Young in this one. Know he has been in and out of the lineup earlier this year, but has really come on strong!

Really good HS QB!

 Composure, cool, collected and bringing it every play. One play at a time...believing in this great Dixie Heights Colonel TEAM!

I think he has over 2,000 yards passing. I don't see Dixie running on Trinity.
