I'd heard about his illness on Thanksgiving and he passed away only a few days after that. So sad.

FYI, Gene Eckert taught at Trinity for 46 years and just passed away within the last week or so.

 

Including his four years as a student, Gene spent fifty years at Trinity. My son described him as the best teacher he ever had. Even after he retired, he continued to work the ticket booth at home games. Always with his ever present smile. RIP.
