Now it's a luxury???

Trinity hasn't adopted their scheduling because they want to, they've adopted it because they've had to. Part of the reason they've done it is because the Northern KY 6A teams that aspire to greatness won't even consider playing them. A quick perusal of Dixie's schedule shows me that they only played 1 6A non-district opponent. Has every coach up there adopted the SEC scheduling philosophy?

Hmm, well if you consider Dixie's scheduling philosophy like that of an SEC team like, oh I don't know. ..ALABAMA, I guess I'll take my chances with them.. These boys are the hungry, the program has endured living with the stigma of being the redheaded stepchild in the NKAC seeing the Beechwoods, Cov. Cath's and Highlands win title after title and this is their 1st Title game. This state title game is 70 some odd years in coming and these boys and these coaches know it. Not saying they'll win but I think Trinity is going to have one of the toughest games they've had in awhile on Saturday. .GO COLONELS!!

MBA won 10-7. Ensworth scored in last seconds...called back for ineligible man down field. Then missed field goal. Great game.

Thanks for posting!

Only problem with your comparison is that it's worked for Alabama not so much for NKY 6A.

You used the word hungry.

Does anyone believe that the men from Trinity aren't hungry as well?

Toughest game is awhile? I think you have it backwards. The Rocks played a brutal schedule with injuries through the whole season, until the playoffs. 2 overtime games with Male. Trinity has been to war this season. Dixie has not. Being hungry does not win titles.

I took it to mean in a state final game but I could have misunderstood him.

God I'm glad its Friday and the game is only one more day away. This thread ran its course by Monday. lol

For anyone that cares...Trinity opponent Ensworth is playing MBA in TN DII title game tonight.

I really loved Trinity's series with MBA. I hope they can renew it again. I loved MBA's campus. One of the nicest ones I have ever seen.

It is...Ensworth's may be nicer.

Please let us know how it turns out.

Will do...MBA up 7-0 at the half.

End of 3...MBA 10- Ensworth 0

Unfortunate the Tigers choked this one away. MBA not interested in renewing the series with Trinity. Brentwood Academy returns to schedule in 2015 and 2016 along with Ensworth.

Lol... Trinity fans be like, "Dixie who? We play who for the state championship? (yawn)"

By the way,

You may view a Trinity team photo and roster as well as the Dixie Heights team photo and roster(-without heights and weights- see what happens when you are a newbie) at the KHSAA website. You click: Sports /Activities found at top of home page; football; State Finals Information and Instructions; 2014 Russell Athletic/KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl Program (Fast Load PDF Version)-use this one for printing individual pages.

I count 62 on the Colonels roster. I see Trinity listed Tanner Demling-son of Trinity football alumnus, U of L blogger, and radio talk show host Jody Demling. Tanner almost died on a lacrosse field earlier this fall. CPR performed by some folks saved his life.

Up until this thread there were about 3 Trinity fans on here. :lol2:

Rooting for Dixie and hoping to see a great game with no injuries.

Yeeeah, not quite

Go Rocks!

Good luck to both teams on Saturday, Praying no player will be injured

With a tip of the hat to Mr. Gene Eckert, I beieve the lads will bring home number 23.

FYI, Gene Eckert taught at Trinity for 46 years and just passed away within the last week or so.
