They played this schedule because no one would play them that is local, that is what T posters have said repeatedly.

Attention schools that avoided scheduling T over the last 5 or 6 years: Be careful what you wish for. :sssh:

And for the record H (IMO easily the #2 team in the state) has figured that out and scheduled T the next couple of years. So has PRP. Home and home on both. Very different than getting a local team to play you by giving them a paycheck to come get pummeled.

Dixie by far is the most physical team in NKY 6a. They are big up front. Dixie will run the read over and over. moore runs a Camp timed 4.5. That's very fast for KY Football. The D is strong big. I lnow The Rocks are the team to beat. This Dixie team is very good at what they do.

Both teams playing well when it counts; but I look for the Rocks to win comfortably. Something like 34-14.

This just isn't your normal 6A NKY team. 2 D1 players plus Moore and a D that may have the best DE in NKY and one of the best LB in NKY and RBs in NKY. This list goes on. This team was head and shoulder better than the rest in 6a in NKY

It seems that each team is playing its best right now. That is what you want.

Bingo!!! This this and this!

i don't understand why some always feel the need to list who is better than others when it is pure speculation and especially when it is talking about teams in other classes. Maybe it's just the insecurity of some that feel the need to blow their teams own horn[/size] just to keep them in the conversation. If for instance Highlands thinks they are the 2nd best team in the state, then play and beat every 6A and 5A team in the state, until then juust be happy with the best in 4A. Same for any team in any class period. The 6A title will be decided by Trinity and Dixie Heights, that is all that matters for those 2 schools and all that should matter.

Here it is HB.

I've seen several mentions of the Dixie D1 players. It's pretty common for T to have a few of their own. Do they have any this year?

I don't care who they beat, what computer program or report you cite. We beat everyone on our schedule we needed to and convincingly. Last time I checked we were playing for an actual state title. Not a mythical poll

Well there you have it. Well reasoned and succinct. T should just stay home - as a few others have observed.

Seniors:

Safety Canon Jackson has an Austin Peay offer.

RB Donald Brooks doesn't have any offers amazingly but is rated an 87 (very solid 3 star prospect) and the number 4 prospect in KY by 24/7 sports.

Juniors:

WR/DB Rodjay Burns, DE Connor Foos, and LB Damon Lowe are all receiving attention.

I'm not a T guy but I keep up with KY recruiting pretty decently. Maybe a Trinity guy will have more information.

I think the real question is as follows: The margin for the Trinity Victory will be ?

a)

b)

c)

d)

e) > 35

I believe e) is the best answer . . . .

Here’s the way I look at it. For Dixie Heights Colonels to be playing for the KY 6A State Championship and against the legendary Louisville Trinity High School is an honor. Sure Trinity has a big advantage, they’ve been there before almost a given that they win the 6A darn near every year. Yes they have the experience, schedule, numbers, talent, experienced coaching, and tradition that Dixie and all 6A schools aspire to. They are the gold standard.

Dixie Heights Colonels, to a man, have worked extremely hard after that first game when they were rolled by Covington Catholic. What a hell of a turnaround. Coach Brossart and his staff have done a wonderful job and I’m glad he proved me wrong with my opinion of his hire. The Dixie Colonels have earned the right to walk out on Feix Field. No matter what happens, I know to a man, they will give everything they have to represent their school, their coaches, and themselves well no matter what the scoreboard indicates.

I’m very proud of what they have accomplished this year and hope this sows the seeds of success for many years to come. Bring it home men!

Acknowledge and commend everything you said - but for your final request.

Their fans and supporters should be justifiably proud.

It is a heck of an accomplishment for any program - we should know - and do not take it lightly nor for granted.
