Its a very important factor for neutral people who don't have their head in the sand. Every poll, ranking system, or game predictor will look at it. It has everything to do with predicting games. That's how people predict games.

" I think we match up well with Trinity in this game and that gives us a chance to win" = honest Dixie supporter

"Not sure what it has to do with predicting the winner of this game" = dishonest homer

I'm a dishonest homer? Thanks for informing me.

It really has nothing to do with this game. Say Team A beat Team B (who is tougher than Team D) 10-7 or 6-3 or 9-7 or 14-10. And Team C beat Team D 36-10 or 24-0. How does that correlate to Team A being better than Team C when they play?

Bully bully bully.... we play better teams and breathe better air because we're from Louisville where all things good originate.... yada yada yada...

Fact is, Dixie played a schedule that most 6A schools can identify with. They play in district, in region competition. If you can't schedule in region competition that's not my fault. Every other team in the state seems to be able to do so. We would not play trinity's schedule even if we could. Why would we? Which is the real question. Why did you have to play that schedule and why did you only average a 500 regular season if your the end all be all?

I'm not from Louisville and I am not a Trinity fan.

Why does your little link there think Trinity is 5-3 right now?

I'm not from Louisville and I am not a Trinity fan.

Sure about that, you seem to want to support them here enough? I''ve met tons of Trinity supporters on here who wear other teams colors in public.

I read the board and support facts. I have a team that I am very closely tied to and it isn't Trinity.

Why does your little link there think Trinity is 5-3 right now?

They were 5-5 on the season heading into the playoffs with the record that you think proves so well why there schedule was the best thing anyone under the sun could have put together. We lost one game. They lost five. We're four games better on my paper, what's your's say?

Trinity has beaten 8 teams better than the best team Dixie has beaten.

Why does your little link there think Trinity is 5-3 right now?

I removed the link once I realized the error. No idea why that is listed like that as it appears the majority of other teams are updated.

Trinity has beaten 8 teams better than the best team Dixie has beaten.

We play who is on our schedule, and lucky for them they qualify. One point, they've lost to 5 teams too.

Trinity has beaten 8 teams better than the best team Dixie has beaten.

You obviously have not spoken with UK#1FAN then.

Trinity has beaten 8 teams better than the best team Dixie has beaten.

Seriously, I'm not sure how you can say this? Based on what? Rankings? Ratings?

Rankings and ratings are a fluid dynamic, ever changing... a snapshot in time.

For example, here are the ratings for 6A football in KY, by the Courier Journal, on September 15, 2014:

32.Marshall County 35.1

And here's another set of rankings for 6A, the High School Football 'AP' Football Rankings, by WKYT, on Sept. 15, 2014:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) The top teams in the Kentucky Associated Press high school football polls, with first-place votes, records, total points and previous rankings:

Others receiving votes: 11, Lou. Pleasure Ridge Park 5. 12, Lex. Henry Clay 3. 12, Lou. Seneca 3. 14, Lex. Bryan Station 2. 14, Lex. Paul Dunbar 2.

So, again, I ask you... how can you definitively give us a "FACT" such as "Trinity has beaten 8 teams better than the best team Dixie has beaten?"

What exactly are you basing you "factual" statement on?

Looks like Trinity may as well stay home. Again they have no chance.

Trinity getting a little national love again, jumped in the Top 100, now ranked 76, nice write up:

Louisville Trinity stock on the rise in HSFB100 rankings

Posted by: Dallas Jackson November 30, 2014

There will be an eight-team turnover in the HSFB100 Monday morning and of those spots being filled there will be seven familiar names.

Louisville Trinity (KY), Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, FL), Cocoa (FL), John Curtis (River Ridge, LA), Oxford (MS), and Spartanburg (SC) are all re-entering the national poll as each has overcome early season losses to advance deep into their respective playoffs. The only new team to the HSFB100 will be Ennis (TX).

Trinity won a national championship in 2011 but sunk back to 6-6 in 2013. The Shamrocks run to a state title berth highlights the Sunday Stock Watch.

Archived Stock Watch:

Trinity opened the year as the No. 2 team in Kentucky and went 0-2 with two tough losses against Ensworth (Nashville, TN) and Carmel (IN) by a combined 31-21 scores. Those two close games were given a boost as Ensworth has played its way to the Tennessee state finals while Carmel fell in the Indiana title game this past weekend.

The Shamrocks then won four consecutive games over Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia, PA), Colerain (Cincinnati, OH), Cocoa (FL), and Indianapolis Cathedral (IN). Of those four teams, Imhotep and Cocoa fell in their respective state finals while Cathedral won its championship this weekend.

Its other non-league games were a victory against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY) and a loss to Moeller (Cincinnati, OH). Highlands will play for a state title next week while Moeller fell in the semifinals of the Ohio Division I bracket on Saturday.

Locally it lost to Louisville St. Xavier and then-HSFB100 member Louisville Male. Trinity avenged both setbacks in the playoffs to push its record to 9-5 on the year prior to a game with Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY) in the finals.

The strength of the team is the defensive front seven which has played well all years as the offense has rotated in players to fill injuries. This last weekend the team allowed just 98 total yards in defeating Meade County, 48-0.

Offensively quarterback Scott Young and running back Donald Brooks have been consistent as the line and receivers have been patchwork at times.

Young completed passes to 10 different players on Friday night going 19-of-23 for 247 yards while Brooks went over 100 yards again and scored three touchdowns.

The run of success has coincided with everyone being back on the field according to coach Bob Beatty.

“It really doesn’t matter who we’re playing right now,” he told The Courier-Journal. “It’s about us and what we’re doing. We’re playing very well right now.”

I don't care who they beat, what computer program or report you cite. We beat everyone on our schedule we needed to and convincingly. Last time I checked we were playing for an actual state title. Not a mythical poll
