In some ways Mitch was going to lose no matter what. If he goes on the show, he is going on an interview that will not help him in the least. The listeners are friendly to the host who is not friendly to Mitch and not matter how the interview goes, it will only hurt much. On the flip side, if Mitch does not call in, the host will just blast Mitch and that could affect some of the undecided listeners who follow his show.

Mitch came out firing at Matt right from the start.

 

Mitch threw out the "Obama enthusiast" moniker very early.

 

They then got right down to issues.

 

Minimum wage: Whether you agree with his numbers or not the response was fine.

 

Matt certainly let him talk. He did challenge him on some of his contentions which I like.

 

Mitch never answered Matt's question about how repealing Obamacare would impact 500k people who have benefited.

 

Not sure why the Senator would not answer what he bases his gay marriage beliefs on. Went Bill Belichick on him.

 

I don't get the people on here and on social media who said it was "gotcha" journalism. I thought Matt was respectful but didn't let him NOT answer the question.

 

I will disagree with those that say this will have some sort of impact on the election. I see it having no impact.
