Mitch McConnell calls in to KSR

Featured Replies

Fair enough, but then when McConnell did finally come on, according to them it appears McConnell's people called in at the last possible minute with no warning or time for the KSR guys to prepare.

Oh, I'm not taking sides. I'm just guessing that's why Mitch came out firing, but again, I haven't heard the interview.

And I'm sure you're right about the last minute thing. I've listened to half of the first hour & there's no mention of Mitch coming on. In fact, Jones led the show off by saying they would lead into the 2nd hour with the guy who predicted UK would be in the SEC Championship game.

I did hear ALG's interview with Jones. I thought he asked some good questions & tried to keep her from using canned lines, but to very little success.

That woman's a walking stack of canned lines.

I read they called 10 minutes prior to Sen McConnell coming on the air.

That's just ridiculous. Decent job by Jones to get a set of interview questions together in just a few minutes.

She was pretty bad IMO.

Don't know many politicians who are not. I think there's a school for politicians somewhere. Kind of like the catcher in Bull Durham coaching Nuke on his interview answers.

I am still listening to the broadcast....but Mitch is doing pretty well it seems to me. Matt Jones started out as a tool, but his last few questions (last one about coal jobs) have actually been quite good. I respect both of them more than I did before the show.

I am the exact political opposite of Jones, but I thought he did a nice job challenging ALG.

I could never do political interviews. :puke:

What a clown.

But he loves them both equally! LOL

Hilarious. The good senator is a Louisville fan. Tough break for him statewide, but it's far and away the most likable thing about him.

"I'm just happy to be here. Hope I can help the Senate."

Yall can have him. :lol2:

I've always voted for Mitch but I thought he came across as an arrogant pompous backside.

In some ways Mitch was going to lose no matter what. If he goes on the show, he is going on an interview that will not help him in the least. The listeners are friendly to the host who is not friendly to Mitch and not matter how the interview goes, it will only hurt much. On the flip side, if Mitch does not call in, the host will just blast Mitch and that could affect some of the undecided listeners who follow his show.
