Or maybe already lives there and would love to have little Aaron live with her?

I get the point. So Ohio is easier than Kentucky because they don't look as closely at guardianship? Is that the bottom line?

If that was the case then I guess the family could just get an address, maybe register some vehicles (think of the savings) and move forward.

What if he went to Highlands, Holy Cross, or Ncc? Would there be an even bigger outcry? He could easily move to Ft. thomas and nothing the khsaa could do with him moving. I think the no change of residency is the issue.

Why would a student leaving a public school and going to a private school that he could have attend 3 years ago from that same residency .......have to change?

No matter where this kid lived he could have attended CovCath instead of Boone Co if he wanted to.

He still can.

He still can.

Right. I don't see how where the family lives has anything to do with this.

No one is saying he can't attend CCH. He just can't play sports.

And that (playing sports or not) should not have anything to do with where the family lives. It should not matter if they live 10 miles away and move next door to CovCath, it should not matter if they live 10 miles away and do not move.

Saw him at Covcath practice yesterday with a clipboard and watching.

My guess is there is an appeal that should be back by the middle of next week.......

That will push it for him to play week 1. I don't know the specifics, but isn't there an acclimation period for helmets and pads of between 8-10 days?

Helmets and shoulder pads starts 8/1 for everyone doesn't it? If the middle of next week is @8/6 and he wins the appeal I wouldn't think that would be an issue

Couldn't agree more about the "closer to God" bull. Two of my sons were in on a tackle against NCC last year and the would-be ball carrier was yelling "Get off me, you EXPLETIVE DELETED HOMOPHOBIC SLUR DELETED!" My older son was amused, his younger brother shocked, telling me after the game "But that's a CATHOLIC school!" Sometimes, education don't cost a dime.

Cool story, Bro.

Full pads start on 8/1.

Anyone who played high school sports probably has a story from every game they played where certain kids ran their mouths. Doesn't mean it's a bad school and doesn't really mean they are a bad kid. I remember times when I thought to myself wow did that kid really just say that. But in the middle of a game, especially a contact sport like football, emotions run high. The kid could have easily been semi hurt on that play and demanding everyone to get off of it so they can walk it all real fast before the game. I am not condoning bad language but teenage kids cursing during a football game is not really a big deal. Also, you basically said by that story that because a student attends NCC they are expected to act better.
