What I was afraid wwould occur happened. Uconns guards too quick and Harrison getting lazy and not protecting the ball caused too many bad turnovers as well as Harrison's not knowing how to make a layup.

It wasn't just the FT's that cost them, it was their entire offensive play. Uconn gave them 2,3 and sometimes 4 possesions between scores and UK couldn't put it in the bucket. Just a bad offense tonight. Not sure what they shot from the field but couldn't have been that great especially first half.

11 missed FTs.

Just like my favorite team. :whistling:

I would like to send the refs to North Korea dressed in red, white, and blue.

You're probably a joy to watch games with.

There's a reason no one acknowledges him 99% of the time.

Congrats to the Huskies. They were the better team. GT was exactly right. Kentucky guards could never run the offense effectively.

Didn't read the game update thread, but the charge call on Poythress on the spin move was absolutely HORRENDOUS!!!

Can't even watch One Shining Moment right now. That one would have been extra sweet. Wanted that for Cal and those guys for all they went through this season.

I agree, just sucks

I'll be that guy.... some REALLY bad calls at a few REALLY bad times.

This one is going to sting for a while.

Incredible run though.

Hard to argue UK wasn't on the wrong side of the 50/50 calls over the final 5 minutes, and the charge was brutal. Still, they had plenty of chances to play their way through it and didn't convert.

Amazing run for UK, but the better team for 40 minutes took the title. One doesn't take away from the other long term...

Congrats to UK on a great tournament run.

I think this tournament pretty much proved once and for all how meaningless the regular season is in college basketball. UK got beat by lowly SC and UConn was destroyed by UL not that long ago, and yet here we are.

This is why the college football season is so much more exciting, IMO.

I just deleted a bunch of Andy Griffith shows out of anger.

Whoa. Calm down there Satan.

UConn was very deserving, they played great half-court defense and hit their free throws. Kentucky just couldn't get there, and they had their chances. For this team to be playing in the National Championship, with a solid chance to win it with 2 minutes to go, is an accomplishment. I have never seen any team improve/adjust as much as this team did late in the season. What a run.

It is disappointing to lose, but I am not the least bit disappointed in this team.

Please don't interview UK players right now!

UK started the game like they had dead legs and had no fire, which resulted in playing zero defense and digging themselves a hole that they couldn't get out of this time. They continued to fight, but never could quite get all the way back, even though it was there for the taking.:isurrender:

GREAT GAME BY UCONN.

OVER COMING HORRIBLE ONE-SIDE OFFICIATING AND STILL PULLING OUT A EASY WIN:laugh:

Your bias is pathetic. Really disappointed that you posted the game thread first and had the classless post to go with it. You would be watching more wrestling videos and unheard from if UK had won.

The officiating was a question mark sometimes, but that didn't cost the Cats the game either. They let the p,ayers play which I would rather have. Look at all those blocked shots UK had, other crews would have called some fouls on UK on some of those. Also look at the foul differential, they called more on Uconn, we just couldn't hit our FT's.

Uconn was the better team. UK not playing much zone all year didn't help either. They needed the practice for the zone because that is what kept the game close.

Uconn deserved the win, UK just couldn't get anything going. When they did they would then stall for a few minutes which let all the momentum out.

Good game, we'll try again next year.

Congrats Uconn.

We probably missed Willie more in this game than any other tourney game he sat out.

And he was hard to miss- y'all saw WCS' shirt- looked like a rainbow threw up under his jersey.
