Congrats to Cov Cath. Lucky they only had to play one guality team with their draw.

I guess there's always going to be one in the crowd.

Cov Cath will have an informal pep rally for the team at 7pm tonight and a formal pep rally later this week per Principal Bob Rowe.

Wouldn't it be fun for a Scott Co. fan to sneak into the rally and sit with the crazies? :sssh:

Congrats to Theoldguy. Now that basketball is over, can we get you back on the forum, baseball season is starting and we need your updates.

Congrats to Cov Cath! Does anyone know, when was the last time a district runner up won the state tournament?

They played in arguably the toughest region in the state so I think they had a very tough road.

Three years ago, Christian County. Before that it was 1985 when Hopkinsville did it.

This was the first time ever that two district runners-up met in the finals.

Great high school career for Trent Gilbert. Crazy to think he put up 1000 points in one season.

In no way is he a D1 player. NAIA is his fit.

Come on Clyde NAIA kid can play he had one bad game and he drops to NAIA. He can play D1 and I hope he does to shut u up.

I'm not sold on him playing D1 either.

You must have watched different games than I did. I was impressed with all their opponents.

Big shout out to CovCath nation.... from someone who's allegiances are split between Highlands and Holmes, I'm smiling to see one more Ninth Region ghost exorcised... have Mark Schloemer and the rest of the 67 Colonels tweeted their congrats yet?

Seriously, thanks for representing the Ninth Region and northern Kentucky is such stellar fashion.... I ran into Bud Wimzie and Beetle Bolden on the way out of Lexington and they were both in agreement with me, great for CovCath, and great for our region....

I agree

Toughest region? Congrats to them on the win, but let's not lose all reality.

Who do you think is the toughest region? The 9th has an argument to make in that regard.
