Congrats to cch on the state title and representing the 9th as well as you did. Good work ethic and perserverance in the 4th quarter honoring the schools motto... :thumb:

WOW!!! So happy for the CovCath program from the top down.

Awesome!

Congrats to Cov Cath. Lucky they only had to play one guality team with their draw.

Congratulations to Covington Catholic, Coach Ruthsatz, and most of all, the Cov Cath Crazies.

Crazy to think their closest game of the tournament was against my Clay County Tigers.

Did Clay Co. take CCH to OT? Yes, by final score Clay Co. may have been the closest but, if I recall correctly, CCH trailed Scott Co. from about the 4 minute mark of the first quarter until they finally took the lead in OT.

Fantastic...congrats Cov Cath.

Congrats CCH!!! Thanks for bringing the title back to NKY!!!

Unfortunately for Scott Co., Trent Gilbert had the worst game of his HS career today.

FG - 4-25

3pt. - 2-14

FT's - 0-2

BECAUSE COLE VON HANDORF WAS GUARDING HIM.

CVH was in Trents grill the entire game and then Parker Keller looked to be sewn to his shorts late in the fourth. Great defensive effort by CCH on the Scott County star.

Don't forget Ruthsatz also playing very good defense versus Gilbert. I do give a lot of credit to CCH's defense, but Gilbert missed shots today that he made the entire tournament, even with guys in his face.

And then of course you have a guy who set a state tournament record with 28 straight free throws missing the front end of two one and ones in the last minute that would have likely won the game for Scott Co.

Congrats to Cov Cath. Lucky they only had to play one guality team with their draw.

YEA, CLAY COUNTY.

Cov Cath will have an informal pep rally for the team at 7pm tonight and a formal pep rally later this week per Principal Bob Rowe.

NO CLAY COUNTY DID NOT TAKE CCH TO OT

Scott County had about an 8 point lead in the 4th quarter and took several ill advised shots. They played as if they were trailing instead of being in front. That, along with missed free throws, cost them a state title.

I really like the way CovCath plays. Very smart well coached team that never quits. #22 is as tough as a PG can be and makes everyone around him better.
