March 17, 201412 yr For the record, Polson played a much larger role on an NIT team last year. To suggest UK is better with him on the floor is, well, uninformed.
March 17, 201412 yr There is no "answer" for this bunch. They are what they are. Polson still makes them play better offensively. No he doesn't. Polson is an okay player that gives the team a spark off the bench. He is worse on defense than Young or either Harrison. He cannot drive the lane. His offensive game comes from a spot 3. Harrison struggles at times but is the better athlete and basketball player for this team.
March 17, 201412 yr Kansas St. with 4 wins on road or neutral courts listed with RPI of opponent: 121-Texas Tech (Away) 166-Longbeach St. (Neutral) 212-TCU (Away) 223-Tulane (Neutral) CATS roll to play the Shockers on Sunday.
March 17, 201412 yr I hate to say Im looking ahead to Wichita but I am. KState is your typical 9 seed, UK is more along the lines of a 6-7 seed. SO i see UK winning form 8-12 points. KSU doesn't rebound at all and that is one of the things UK does pretty good actually. Wichita on the other hand kills people on the boards so that is going to be a tough matchup. But have to beat KSU first. Go Big Blue!
March 17, 201412 yr The last time these two teams met...was that in the Las Vegas tourney when BCG was here & Jodie Meeks scored a bunch?
March 17, 201412 yr Focus on one game at a time. I'm not talking about Witchita State at all after this post and jinxing the Cats. I have them by 11.
March 17, 201412 yr The last time these two teams met...was that in the Las Vegas tourney when BCG was here & Jodie Meeks scored a bunch? Yep. He brought the wrath that game.
March 17, 201412 yr ..... Kansas State is a team susceptible to turning it over a LOT, but luckily for them, UK doesn't turn anyone over, so K-State dodges a bullet there. If UK wins this game it will be on the offensive glass, where they are other-wordly and Kansas State has a potential weakness (keeping teams off of the offensive glass). If K-State wins they shoot a decent percentage from the floor and the arc, which they can do and UK does occasionally allow, and they get penetration with their guards (which UK always struggles with). I think it is a game in the 60's and UK wins by 1-3.
