I don't understand being critical of UK's defense and not mentioning James Young.

Agree.

UK held Florida to 21 points in the second half... let's hope they find that effort more frequently in this tournament.

What they experienced in the SEC Championship game, at least in regards to the crowd, should be more than enough experience during their first round game against Kansas State.

Not quite the same IMO. The NCAA is more pressure than the SEC tournament because it is one and done and a much larger stage. These kids are youngsters. Let's hope that they are indeed battle-tested, and play smart and strong.

If BBN shows up at any/all of the venues the youngsters have a shot at going really deep into the tournament. If its actually "neutral" , they could be in trouble early.

That is where the selection committe actually did UK a favor. St.Louis is the closest venue to KY and the region is in Indy. I'd expect UK to have a great crowd in STL, and a great one in Indy as well if they make it.

:lol2: Polson should start. That's one of the most uninformed basketball opinions I've ever heard.

There is zero offensive flow when he's in the game. He can't defend to save his life either. Yesterday, it was a 16-14 game when he checked in. Within a minute and a half, it ballooned to a 10 point deficit. He's simply not capable of playing against above-average talent. That's not a knock on him, it's just a fact.

I agree 100%

The committee did do UK a favor there is not a single team outside UK with a big tough inside game if UK gets over the freshmen jitters in the K St. game then look out they could muscle their way to the final four!

I am in no way a UK hater at all, but this game makes me pause. K-State is not bad and if UKs young talent is not focused and ready they could have a real fight on their hands. With the Florida game still fresh in the rear view mirror and the Wichita St. game looming in the future, they had better not overlook the task at hand.

It will be a close game, hopefully the FT's will be falling for UK.

One thing that stood out in my mind as I watched several teams yesterday is that just about every team has 2-3 players they can count on from the perimeter. UK's lack of shooters, added in with their defensive liabilities, leads me to believe that the Cats will not make it out of the first weekend. It could cost them this game, and if not this one, then more than likely against the Shockers.

Which ones?
