Add me to the Gatlinburn hate list . I dislike Tn but I really hate the whole smoky mountain thing . I went about 15 years ago .. traffic nightmares , and nothing but the same tee shirt shop , store after store after store . Its pretty but just a hot mess of humanity .

I have zero desire to go to Myrtle beach -- the old joke around here is that's where you go to catch up with everyone else . Its so popular that people just call it " the beach' like its the only one . Which irks the crap out of me .

I wouldn't want to go Cancun. Too commercial. No thanks to LA . But I do love Vegas , something for everyone and beyond .

I can't believe it made it this far before Los Angeles was mentioned. I have absolutely zero desire to ever go to LA.

Too long a trip to go to a beach that I can go to in Fla or on the east coast. Plus I hear it is really expensive. Only thing I would even want to see is Pearl Harbor Memorial.

 

Florida beaches are nothing compared to Hawaii. Plus the other scenery (and I'm really talking about scenery not bodies) is awesome, particularly around Hilo.

I definitely like LA.

Not because I don't think it would be cool. I couldn't fly that far. My anxiety level is through the roof flying for 2 hours to Florida. I don't think I could do it.

Clubs with entry fees, except comedy clubs. The back of a police car. Steelers or Browns Stadium. Theatre where musicals/plays/ballets are held ( except when concert music our family enjoys, not so much ). Restaurants where you feel uncomfortable when they sing Happy Birthday ( in whatever form ) takes place, and make their patrons wait way too long for food. Cincinnati hs football stadiums after they beat a NKY team.

In the exact same way, but it actually wasn't that bad. I put on headphones and watched movies for 8 hours. Time actually flew by. Definitely worth the sweaty palms.

My 12 hour flight from Chicago to Tokyo probably isn't for you then. Let alone the 14 hour flight from San Fran to Sydney. I've been on some long flights.

 

As for a place I've never been to, that I never care to visit: the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Heard its beautiful, don't care, I'll pass.

The last time I went I was sitting thigh to thigh with an XXL Dude. Another guy comes down the aisle about 4 minutes into the game. He says he has seat 12. Everybody checks their ticket stubs. I had 11. XXL Dude has 13. Make room for 1 more.

True, if you are hoping to see good looking gals in bikinis, Hawaii is not your destination. Mostly families and retirees. Still, I would go back in a heart beat.
