March 13, 201412 yr What popular destination do you have no desire to visit? Las Vegas tops the list for me. I just don't have any urge to see it. Give me a riverbank and a tent any day over Vegas.

I will say that getting around and dealing with Gatlinburg itself is an absolute nightmare that I never want to deal with again. I've been twice now. I'm all set.

We'll go back I'm sure, but I'm with you on this. We pretty much just pay to park as quickly as we can & then walk wherever we go.
March 13, 201412 yr 1. Las Vegas 2. New York City I've enjoyed all my trips to both. I will say that there are aspects of both that drive me insane. Casino floors are a lot like Times Square... I've seen enough to last a lifetime and I don't want to go back. But awesome restaurants and bars in Greenwich Village and the Sportsbook at the Hard Rock Hotel are absolutely places I'd go again and again.

On our last visit we had several in our group & had a really nice cabin with a movie theater room in the basement. I would have been content reading on the deck, sitting in the hot tub, & watching movies all day/night long.

There's a room at the casino with really comfortable chairs and four HUGE TV screens where I sat during the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in 2012 and watched -- and made a killing thanks to UK going something insane like 34/35 from the free throw line against Indiana and UofL upsetting Florida. Being in that environment during big sporting events and throwing down a little money on something I actually know something about is really fun.

It's not a moral issue or anything, but I know I would get addicted (quickly) to sports gambling in particular. That does sound fun, but it's best for me to stay away. :lol2:
