I was just being facetious. I'm sure there were much more in attendance than 300. And as was mentioned, UK and Duke were also playing in the regional finals of the NCAA tournament.

 

I'm sure Trinity and CovCath would be a good crowd and great game if it comes down to those two. I will definitely be there, as I will for all the games.

What I'm more inclined to hope happens is that Trinity and PRP meet up and we get the all-Louisville final. That one will be entertaining to read about as well.

No doubt. It might be the best (or one of three best) potential state finals. But the average crowd will likely bail after Saturday night if Trinity and PRP are left standing, and the casual fan around central Kentucky likely won't make the Sunday afternoon trip to see two Jefferson County schools.

 

The KHSAA got a gift last year with Madison Central making the state finals, helping make the Sunday final look like a smashing success. I'm anxious to see if it stays that way or recedes a bit.

It would be a diaster. PRP and Trinity do not have large fanbases that travel for basketball. The average basketball fan within like an hour or so from Lexington will not go for just a Sunday afternoon game between two Louisville teams. A few people might come to see Trinity as they dont have the anti Louisville bias (at least in basketball not football) as much as PRP does.

 

If the question is what game would get the most attendance my guess would be a Scott County versus Wayne County final.

I agree with that logic. There would be no one home Sunday that lives on the south banks of Lake Cumberland. They'd all be in LexVegas.

If Hoptown can make their free-throws they will win it all. Very well coached and are the most athletic team in the sweet 16.

Not me. After Trinity they are my favorite to win it. Hoptown's less then stellar wins against Western and Fern Creek pose a huge question for me.

Can someone in Northern Kentucky explain to me how Newport Central Catholic lose in the regionals? What strategy do the teams employ that works. They seem so big and shoot the ball so well. Same question relates to Holmes?
