January 28, 201412 yr I am happy to report that after my first weigh in this morning, I've lost 5.2 pounds! That's after two weeks, so I'm pretty pumped about it! I definitely could have done better with what I ate, but I figured I'd take baby steps. Obviously working out 3-4 times a week has helped, so I'll continue doing that and keep working on the food part of it. Good start to my morning! :ylsuper:

Fitness and your target weight is not a goal, it should be a way of life.
January 28, 201412 yr Girlfriend and I did hot yoga this morning. Good stuff. I think it helps quite a bit with flexibility, core strength, and stability.
January 28, 201412 yr Ok. I did really well last year. I lost 20 pounds of useless weight...reduced my waist size probably 4 inches...back to a 32-33 while I didn't lose any strength on any of my lifting. I really noticed the weight loss benefit in my jogging. HOWEVER, I rewarded myself for this feat too much during the holidays....and for the few weeks after, and I can see the hard work slipping away a bit + 6 pounds (of pie/cake/cookies/chips/dip/excess)....so I am back on the wagon this week. I actually want to keep my weight about where it is, but relocate some from Central Kentucky to Northern Kentucky. I am back off the sweets which are my downfall.

My situation is somewhat similar. Lost about 20 last year but lost a little traction over the holidays. I'm working out every day again with the Insanity DVDs. I will be very anxious for the sidewalks to be safe again for running outside. When I run 3-4 days a week, the weight really starts to melt off.
January 29, 201412 yr Changed my intervals today... I had been doing 3/2 minutes running/walking. Today I did 4/2. 35 minutes total, 2.55 miles, 530 calories. Plus upper body stuff afterwards.
