Fitness 2014 let's all have a great year

A question about My Fitness Pal... I'm using it and just wonder how accurate everybody feels that it is in terms of how many calories you are "allowed" each day to reach your goal. I put in my current weight, goal weight, and how many pounds I wanted to lose a week (I chose two pounds). It says I'm allowed 2750 calories a day. Me and the girlfriend got into it last night because she doesn't think that's accurate for whatever reason. She is 5'3" 115 pounds and thinks I should be eating the same amounts she is, and I respectfully disagree. :lol2:

Thoughts?

She is trying to make you feel guilty. Part of having a female companion ;)

If every day were like today... You'd weigh 179.5 lbs in 5 weeks

Headed back to the gym in December, mostly driven by stress. Found it to be helpful even though I have said I hate the gym for years. I like Snap Fitness because there are so few people there when I'm there. Like having your own personal gym…mostly I get to control the TV there…not like at home when Mrs. Birdbrain complains about my command of the remote. Found I have much more energy and that's now a driver for going.

Having my first weigh in (started 2 weeks ago) after starting my diet and trying to exercise more tomorrow morning. Feeling very confident in the results that I'll receive, I'll keep you posted.

I was at Snap Fitness for almost 2 years, it's a nice little gym but I wanted a pool and sauna to help change things up a bit.

Has anyone ever cycled outdoors in this crap? If so, what do you wear? First triathlon is a week from Sunday.

Stress relief and more energy are 2 of my favorite reasons to work out. Keep it up! :thumb:

Have you had any cheat days?

Today was my first cheat day but still ate better than most days before the diet haha!

Down 12 lbs so far. Knew I mad some solid progress.

It's been a week since my back just stopped functioning. :lol2:

I am happy to say that for the most part I am no longer in excruciating pain: I can walk, get out of the car, and out of chairs with no pain.

It was hard to not work out all week---I felt guilty. But I knew that recovery was the best thing.

So with a week of heating pads and couch time and sedentary life behind me, I'm going to start up again tomorrow.

I'll probably go easy with the Core Cardio and Balance DVD---and see how things feel.

Keep reporting in your progress. You all are an inspiration!
