January 9, 201412 yr The only difference between Petrino and other college coaches that are apparently role models is that we know Petrino's faults. The rest just hide it from you guys better. So many naive people. College coaches are role models for teens.  My kid looks up to Jimbo Fisher. Good job dad. My role model is dude named Jimbo. Wow, someone needs a hug. I don't know your story but someone really must of hurt you deeply. Sounds like it was a coach somewhere down the line.
January 9, 201412 yr Tom Terrific. Role model for teens. Amen bro. I mean, it just blows my mind. It's almost like that has never been brought up about him (which, it shouldn't be..it's a personal matter). Pacman Jones has issues at Strip clubs and ole Tom Terrific bails on the pregnant ladies, let's make sure we throw all those stones at Pac Man, though.
January 9, 201412 yr If the parents aren't a part of the process as well then there is deffinatly a problem. Of course the kid should have the final say but without input and advice from his parents then the parents probably weren't a big part of the kids life in the first place. I guess it's the way you raise them. Hopefully your child will look to you for guidance is all I'm saying. I never said they aren't part of the process. I said the kid makes the choice and I am not going to push my likes and dislikes on my kid. I hate Tennessee but if my kid wants to go to UT then I am not going to cloud his decision with my hate for UT. My kid will make his own choices and learn from his choice and I'll be there for guidance every step of the way. If my kid is looking at his college coach to be a role model then I have failed my son. A college coach who will go into thousands of living rooms just like mine telling people want they want to hear so he can save his job. Some role model.
January 9, 201412 yr Wow, someone needs a hug. I don't know your story but someone really must of hurt you deeply. Sounds like it was a coach somewhere down the line. I loved every coach I played for but I never considered any of them role models. I wanted to win just as badly as they did though and I would do anything my coaches asked me to do. I just wanted to win. But they were not my role models. They were all great teachers and that's all I wanted from my coaches. I don't look into the world of sports for role models. Even the best coach with the greatest intentions can't be a role model to every athlete he coaches. That's impossible. Some coaches will be role models for some kids but none will be role models for all of them. Just because I don't think a coach should be a role model doesn't mean I don't appreciate all they do I just think it is unfair to coaches to have to slap that role model tag on them. Especially a coach of a D-1 football team. Nobody coaches a D-1 football team to be a role model.
January 9, 201412 yr Roddy White @roddywhiteTV2h Bobby Petrino no matter what type of person he is will only be judged by wins and losses and he wins in college Roddy White @roddywhiteTV1h I would love my 18 year old son to play for him parents are role models if you install great values in your children they will be fine
January 9, 201412 yr Wow, someone needs a hug. I don't know your story but someone really must of hurt you deeply. Sounds like it was a coach somewhere down the line. It was probably Marvin Lewis with Andy Dalton kicking him while he was down.

January 9, 201412 yr Great hire by UL on the football perspective side. I think he will take the UL higher than what Strong could take it. I honestly was interested to see how Strong did with the program once Bridgewater left. He did a great job landing Bridgewater, however I question how well he would have done at UL if he didn't have a possible #1 pick in the draft at QB. We know Petrino can take average players and make them better especially on offense. I think he will do great again at UL, which as a UK fan I hate!
January 9, 201412 yr Fantastic piece by Eric Crawford on Petrino the changed man CRAWFORD | Meet the new coach, same as the old coach - WDRB 41 Louisville News
January 9, 201412 yr I'm supposed to go the UofL/Memphis basketball game with my dad tomorrow night. If Petrino is introduced to the fans at the game, it's going to be a really awkward moment between father and son when I stand up to applaud and my old man glares at me and tells me I'm an idiot. I am told he won't be introduced at the game...I guess we'll see. He is scheduled to be there.
January 9, 201412 yr "In other news Wednesday, a wandering dog somewhere circled back to lap up its own cold vomit." Best comment I've seen.
January 9, 201412 yr "In other news Wednesday, a wandering dog somewhere circled back to lap up its own cold vomit." Best comment I've seen. That cam from this Deadspin article which gives a great headline For Some Reason Louisville Has Intentionally Hired Bobby Petrino
January 9, 201412 yr Tom Jurich is all in on a new script for WIAD. "Winning is a Drug". They are so hellbent on claiming that UL is a "destination" job that they have rehired a coach that no other BCS school (some have said he has been blackballed by the SEC) has contacted since his disgraceful fall at Arkansas. He is a very good coach but a despicable human being. All is forgiven Bobby P come on back to the Ville, Just Win Baby! Howard Fineman, a UL Law School grad is dismayed by the hiring of Petrino. I need to see Bengals DC Mike Zimmer's comments about Petrino. Anyone got them available?
January 9, 201412 yr I'm not in his circle and surely have no desire to be Why wouldn't UL introduce him at the game tomorrow night? http://cdn1.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1037911/Pork_Chop.gif
