Should the U.L. AD want wins only then Bobby scumbag will probably deliver them. I thought that Jurich seemed like a fairly class individual with his running of the athletic programs at U.L.. Now to re hire a no class, out right liar (that has proven over and over) that tried to and did screw U.L. over 1.) the first time by the infamous midnight meeting with Auburn about their football job, 2.) then later to pull up and go to Atlanta/NFL after saying he was staying --3.) Then the man flat out quits on his Atlanta Falcons team in the middle of the season and leaves. Petrino then takes advantage of Arkansas stupidity and becomes the Arkansas coach. After things were looking good there he then 3.)Gets involved with, has an ongoing affair with an Athletic dept. employee/staff member who from what I understood happens to be one of his asst. coaches wife ! High levels of morality shown there , uh ? Petrino then, after laying low for a while takes a job with Western KY. and no one on the face of the earth expected him to stay at WKU, I think that WKU themselves knew he would leave at some point.

Now that brings it back full circle and to U.L.. Personally I feel that this looks bad on UL, but that's me, it's their bed so let them lay in it. Again. Petrino imo will win at U.L., that must be all that Jurich wants bc it's obviously not a class, upstanding and/or trustworthy individual. That statement goes on one thing that I have always heard....."the best way / only way to judge a man is on his history" and I look at Petrino's history and what I see is, well.......:poop:

UL Fans.....I honestly hope that for your schools sake, I hope the man doesn't embarrass you.

I still don't understand what world we are living in where winning isn't what is expected to be the only thing that matters from D-1 football coaches. I need everybody to list what schools you cheer for in D-1 football so I can see these role models of good character that don't win that you root for.

My only exception to that is when direct actions lead to harming the program or the kids, like at Arkansas. Be a sleeze on your own time.

It's a small list. Ohio State, Notre Dame and the SEC is who most of BGP roots for. There are some Florida State fans sprinkled in here(myself included) but most of us are still too busy celebrating to concern ourselves with this issue. An Oregon fan or two has been seen on here as well. I also root for UK football but I don't attach myself to the SEC like other UK fans do when bowl season starts. I acutally agree with most of your posts. I made a post on Facebook last night telling UK fans I don't want to hear anything from them talking about wins over character or anything fo that nature. UK had Tubby Smith at one time and he was ran out of town because he had so much good character. Everything is about winning in college athletics at that high level. These guys are making millions and millions of dollars to win games. Not to be great people. I think you are onto something myself.

Welcome to BGP!!!! Looks like you'll fit right in. :thumb:

Wasn't he on his own time when he wrecked the motorcycle or do you mean when he doesn't have a job coaching?

Thank you. I can already tell that I am going to really like it.

The motorcycle wreck and affair, whatever. It was embarrassing, He broke code in employing the mistress.

The fact that non-UL fans don't approve of the hire just tears me apart inside... I don't know how I'll get over it.

For everybody saying "Winning is all that matters..." Would you get rid of your successful coach right now if you could guarantee you had a coach with a perfect moral compass and zero chance to mess up, but that person would go .500 or below?

Oh is Bobby Petrino untrustworthy? I hadn't heard. Thank you for the revelatory narrative.

Come on, NO ONE associated with Louisville expects anything different. In fact, we expect precisely the same: he's going to beat the heck out of people. Then he'll probably leave, Louisville having finished the job WKU started of rehabilitating his image. So be it.

The righteous indignation coming from people that aren't Louisville fans is hilarious. What are you all so concerned for? It's not your school's reputation. It's not your school's image. So why are so many people spending time telling Louisville fans exactly how they should feel about this?

No.

Whoops. That wasn't a question for me.

This is the answer I've been searching for over the past few days. And have yet to get it, on any forum/social network.

Most of these people are UK fans, so it's an irrelevant question. They're going to go .500 or below anyway.
