Is Edward Snowden A Traitor?

I never said that they did not lie to us. I have no way of knowing unless they get caught red handed, the way that Eric Clapper and Obama have been caught lying to us. I guess I could just accept the "everybody does it" argument and be happy too, but as a voter, I like to hold candidates accountable for lying to me.

But you aren't holding all of them accountable. You only want to hold the ones you don't like accountable.

But there are things that even Presidents can't tell the electorate.

The Biden gaff about Seal Team 6 didn't help or hurt the President getting credit, it was just stupid by Biden. Now if Biden or someone else had spilled the beans about the attack and they were trying to keep it secret that would be another thing.

Biden made Seal Team 6 target number 1 with his comments. We may never know for sure whether members of the team died as a direct consequence of Biden fingering them or not.

Who am I not holding accountable? I don't have an opportunity to withhold my vote for or vote against Boehner, Cantor, McCain, McConnell, Graham, and other Republican liars. All I can do is express my disgust and hope that the people who can hold them accountable will do so.

True but he didn't make that comment in the context of taking or getting credit as you originally posted, it was just information that was not supposed to get leaked. FWIW I say impeach Biden over it, toss him out!

As someone who has grown up in the digital age and values my privacy, it's sad to so-called "informed voters" not care about the vast expansion of government surveillance.

Especially since the legal basis for most of these programs was assumed by the NSA, without consent of Congress or the FISA court.

It's not about Obama - or Bush - it's about deciding if the surveillance state is the route we want our country to take.

I guess if you were more technologically inclined you would care enough to hold those in power accountable.

NSA didn't come up with this on their own, they were told to do it and politicians on both sides of the aisle knew about it and signed on from the beginning.

I think the comment was part of the "look how tough we are" campaign of the Obama administration. All that the public needed to know was that Bin Laden had been killed. Period. All of the other details were given were an effort to ensure that Obama got all of the credit for the kill.

What are you talking about? (edit) I mean, what's your point?

You missed the point about the post you quoted. Mitch Rapp turns every subject about everything into an Obama bashing fest. It doesn't matter what the topic is. If it is in the Politics forum the discussion turns into a bash Obamafest. The sad part is that nobody is truly defending Obama or his cronies. This is about Edward Snowden and here we are talking about Obama and his failures. Again. The post you quoted I am simply saying I am waiting for Mitch to hold all of the other politicians accountable for their lies also. They all lie. Obama and his cronies didn't invent lying to the public.

As for the rest of your post let me explain myself and my mind for you.....

I don't care. I don't claim to be an informed voter. If I like you I'll vote for you. Easy peezy. Why? Because they all lie. They'll all tell me what I want to hear so they can get my vote and I'll vote for them hoping they deliver. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't(I'm still waiting for casinos in KY that was promised several years ago). Either way, I am of the opinion that these politicians start off with the best of intentions and once they get elected into the machine they soon learn that the machine runs the country and not them or the elected people. To me it's that simple. People throw out the word "uniformed voter" like that really means something. We are all uninformed because none of us really knows what goes on behind those closed doors when the enemies from across the aisle are sharing a bourbon and cigar and laughing at all of us.

Being technologically inclined doesn't have anything to do with it. Anybody can find a computer savvy 16 year old to hack into the Pentagon. Like the government can't get what they want from us with technology. You can say I'm not technologically inclined and I'll call you technologically naive.

Go stop the ones in power. I'll wait.

If you want to complain about my posts, it would be more appropriate to direct those complaints to me rather than taking a swipe at me in a post directed to somebody else.

When you're done whining about Obama being attacked by his opposition (just like every other President) let me know.

The NSA is collecting and storing my personal information without Congressional oversight and outside the legal bounds of the Executive Branch.

You may be uninformed, that doesn't mean everyone else is.
