Simply clueless... The assistants have no responsibility and arent listend to? Really!? So the assistant coach that uploads and breaks down game films till 5am doesent have a responsibility? Does the assistant that runs the strength program have a responsibility? How about the assistants that spend Friday nights on the road scouting have a responsibility? Do the 2 "assistants" everybody wants to fire or replace coaching J.V. on Saturday have a responsibility?

The program has been slipping as I have said for years and for the cries of denial I find it funny. I like Noel, but if he doesn't look at every aspect of his program and make changes, then the slide will continue. Those "great Freshman" are now upper classmen football wise, because their Sophomore season is over. Who has Beechwood beaten lately that they shouldn't have? Where is the big upset? Who are the bigger schools that they are knocking off? In 2012, they lost to Holmes. No way that should have occurred. The next step will be a positive or a negative one. Either Beechwood can get back to being a football power in Kentucky or they can't. The decisions IMO are with Rash to thoroughly analyze his entire program. To do nothing would be to ignore the facts. Beechwood has the building, the weight room, support from the community and a storied past. The railroads used to be the main vehicle for transporting goods once upon a time too.

Throw away all their playing experience...youth, high school, college, and NFL What are you left with? A coaching staff with a cumulitive knowledge of 500+ years. Coaches with 50yrs of experience, 40 yrs of experience, multiple state championships as coaches. Multiple All-Region and District players. Multiple D-1 football players. Keep watching games... Let the coaches coach...

When was the last time Beechwood won a game that they were not the favorite to win?

Please, "make it stop." Are you kidding? In 8 years as the HC at Beechwood, they have won 84 games. That staff has averaged 10 plus wins a year. They have won 2 state championships. In Coach Rash's 8 years, they have played 13 or more games every year except his first year when they lost week 12. That is an incredible 8 years for everyone associated with BW football. Yes, BW has great kids who work extremely hard. But, do not underestimate the job those coaches are doing. They don't deserve what is being written on here, but quite frankly, I'm confident that they don't care what a couple "disgruntled" people say anonymously on this message board. Congratulations to Beechwood Football for another great year. You don't have to finish your season in Bowling Green to have a successful season. You all have what every other community wants. A Football Program that is supported and valued by the Administration, Faculty, Students, & Community. Keep up the great work.

I've been saying that since 2008 Beechwood has not had a win where they were a complete underdog. But I don't know if it's a lack of talent or the coaching staff. I'm not in the know.

The answer is NO Beechwood does not need a change.

 

I like reading all the he took over a power comments, Noel was at Beechwood with Yeagle for several years, if anyone understands the Beechwood (Yeagle) standard it is Noel.

I have been a Beechwoodfan for many years.

 

I was a fan of Walz, Mariani, Barre, Yeagle, and now Rash.

 

Noel and his family have poured their hearts and souls into that school. He is a quality man and I am proud to say he coached my sons (who were not "studs").

Now that they are grown, they see him as a man who they love and respect and who was a strong, positive influence on them in high school.

 

It is a great program run by great men. We are very lucky to have people dedicated to our kids like this. A lot of the grumbling I read here seems very petty. Yeah, we haven't had a state championship in a few years. As someone who has experienced Beechwood as a child, a parent, and beyond, I can tell you, if this is all you have to complain about...GROW UP!
