One thing you are missing coach has standards not just winning. When he suspended all those players instead of sweeping it under the rug, my kids can play for him any day. Quit worrying about state titles and worry about are your kids being taught the right morals. Every team goes through down yrs BW will be back at the top and as long as Noel is there they will learn more then just football.

 

Parents who care about Coaches teaching Morals don't NEED the coach to teach their child about Morals. If that is important to you, your son will have a strong sense of morality long before he gets to Noel Rash.

Oh please! You are smarter than that! That schools district is being handed a gift from the community by sending them kids from caring families. Families that are strict about studying. Two parent homes for the most part. Take any teacher from any school and the results are there.

I do not agree with the "Take Any Teacher" part, but do agree with the point you are making. That said, Rash's own wife can take pride in the fact that signicantly responsible for great ACT scores. The teachers get them ready and she preapres them for the ACT. She's very good at it.

It doesn't matter if he is winning state titles or not people would still complain about something. Even when Yeagle was winning all of those titles in the 90's some parents weren't happy and they wanted him out!

 

Like only 14 or 15 guys seeing the field in a game? Right? I have heard that complaint from more than a few about the Yeagle era.

I am sure no one is more ticked off at the loss last night than Rash and his coaching staff. But let's keep it real. Anyone who thinks Beechwood should have won the state title this year needs to do a self check.

From the outside looking in this is an embarrasement to the program and more importantly to the kids that put that uniform on last night for the Tigers. What I saw last nigh was no different than what I have seen in BW in the past. They are well coached, the play extremely hard, and they have a first class program.

 

Here is what others are missing in this thread. Teams like Frankfort strive to be like Beechwoods, Mayfields, Danvilles, Boyle, and Trinity's!

So these teams are getting up working just as hard as the kids in the BW program. Frankfort staff decided after 2007 loss to Beechwood they wanted to be BW. So each butt kicking they have taken from BW they have learned something that made them better. When you want to be the best you are not going to sit around and take getting things handed to you every year. So every year Frankfort worked to get closer. It was a mental thing for the Panthers. They had to get over the mental block.

 

Sometimes its not about Coaching. Sometimes other programs get better. Mayfield has been dominate late over BW. Its because Mayfield practices too and work on developing kids.

 

Bottom line is Good Programs are not going to sit around and just accept being average. That game last night had to do with more of Frankfort night accepting a BW butt kicking.

 

Only change BW needs make is make sure their kids dont listen to the nay sayers!

 

Coach Rash is good coach and his staff do a good job!

Who is talking State Titles? Rash did not get the program to the level it is at. It was at a high level when he got there and he has barely maintained it. I would argue that it has even gone backwards. You are the one that keeps talking about titles. Because that's a stat that you feel you can put up against Yeagle.

 

Anyone that thinks Beechwood was not the better team last night "needs to do a self check" Coaches did not have Beechwood prepared and once again they did not control a game they should have. That's on the coaches.

 

It comes down to this for me. Titles are not what matters. What matters is did Rash and his staff get the most out of what they had and can he say that we gave our all and did our best. The answer is absolutely NO and that's the answer for the the last 3 seasons. If you blame lack of talent, you are WEAK.

 

I talked to a kid who was on the field after the game. I asked him what Rash said. Unbelievably to me, he said "he blamed us". So, five minutes after a tough loss, he is telling the line that they "didn't get it done up front" and telling the team they made too many mistakes. There is no doubt that this is the case, but a "good coach" would not do that. As far as I'm concerned, he's a weak excuse for a leader.

 

As always, blind backers will allow Rash to make the excuse that we had injuries, we just didn't have the horses (talent) to get it done or my personal favorite, we were out-manned. That makes them feel better. In the end, nothing will change and eventually he will stumble on enough talent to get win a title. That won't change my opinion.

^^^ OSD ... that is your best post on this topic and you make some good points in there. I do disagree on the talent. I agree about the line play this year not getting it done. After the game and a tough loss is not the time to talk about that IMO if Coach Rash did.

 

If we are going to be honest and evaluate this team though, the fact is the line play did not get it done all year. When was the last time Beechwood did not have a 1,000 yard rusher? And it wasn't because they chose to pass the ball. That is what the team was better at so they threw more this year. If the team was capable of having a 1,000 yard rusher, it would have happened.

 

Defensively, this team struggled more than any recent Beechwood team IMO.

 

I am not going to say Rash and his staff haven't made mistakes. I question them a lot more than you would ever guess. But I back them to the hilt on here for several reasons.

 

1. At the end of the day, there is a great track record of success under Rash. We all want more but this program is in the top 10 in the state under Rash. Everyone outside Beechwood thinks this whole thread is silly. Anyone complaining should ask why.

 

2. There are always naysayers in sports. It is easy to bash someone after a loss. Easy. It is easy to whine and say this should have happened and that should have happened. Someone needs to talk about the positives and keep perspective or the complaints of 5 or 10 people starts to sound like a community opinion. I back the coaches to the hilt because someone needs to on here.

 

3. I pride myself on seeing the real picture of things. A personal comment here or there; a kid not getting enough playing time; a play call being bad ... those things, often emotional things, do not cloud my judgment. I don't let personal desires cloud my judgment. I consider them but they don't make me jump ship. I look at the big picture more than the individual issues. I don't let a disagreement or two or three push me over the edge. I want the argument to be fair and balanced and that doesn't happen when only one side is talking. Especially when there are very vocal complainers and no one challenges them. There is no doubt that many let what happens with their kid "taint" their view and let emotions take over. I don't do that and I think it is important that another opinion is voiced so people outside the program hear that opinion in this forum.

 

I have no problem with anyone putting concerns out there. Being open and chatting about it is the only way to address the issues. That is why I want to make sure it isn't one sided.

I guess the "no one took the lose harder then the coaches" really took hold. If that is true, then that is truly sad, the players should be the ones who take a lose harder than anyone, and they know what happened in the final game of the season. No need to rub salt into the players wounds.

Yes I will teach them morals Long b4. But the way he treated his team is the kind of coach I want my kids playing for. If your that parent that allows their kid to drink on the weekend and pray for forgiveness on Sunday then shame on you.

Lets see... Iron Mike guys, Wilmhoff, Hergott, Berger, Procochino. How many State Championships is that? The o-line staff has 2 former D-1 players and a 12yr NFL vet. Do you think its easy to find that kind of experience on a coaching staff? These guys work 40+ hours a week at their full time jobs then spend countless hours doing everything everything they can to win games, develop talent, and develop student a true student athlete and and people wanna throw stones. Where do you coach? How many games games have you called the offense? How many State Championships and Semi-Finals have you played in?
