They just have run into a strong Mayfield dominance period and are still good enough to be one of the better Class A teams. Sure the Regional final loss was not expected but they will once again be one of the favorites in Class A next year which may be their final in Class A.

Not only have they been one if the favorites all through the years Rash has been at the helm, they have been one of the favorites for 30 years. But does this staff has what it takes to get the back to the finals?

Honest question, are the players today as good as they were when Barre and Yeagle set that standard? Something tells me the talent isn't the same.

WoW! I wondered how long this would take and Rash and his Tigers have not even made it home yet and it has started. EVery year over the last 3 years when Bw has gone down the critics come out and it gets a little ugly and eventually leads to a certain Bw poster who is close to Rash going nuts trying to defend him. That said, it is a very good question, I have wondered to myself if Rash would start feeling the heat the last couple years but so far I have not heard much about it.

Beechwood High School has the most talented coaching staff in No. Ky. PERIOD! They are simply a year away from getting back to dominating Class A football. Loaded with Sophmores, who will grow into being great players, it is difficult to beat teams that are loaded with upperclassmen. Once they get the talent level back up by winning State Championships, they will once again reign as a Class A powerhouse. You can be the worst coach in the world and win with talent, yet you can also be the greatest coach in the world and not beat anyone with a lack of talent. This is not to take away from the upperclassmen Beechwood had this year. I believe they lost a few solid seniors early in the year due to injury. This really hurts a smaller school where 1-2 players can make all the difference in the world. The bottom line is, I would take Beechwood's coaching staff over any staff in No. Ky. without question! Take it from someone who knows what they are talking about. You can complain, blame it on the coaches, do all the things that frustrated fans do, but in the end you have to look beyond that and ask yourself if you really have the horses to get it done? If Beechwood had the upperclassmen horses and failed to advance, I would understand what you are saying. I think you will be singing a different tune next year and the years following!

You may have some good players ready to develop but I don't think Beechwood is going to dominate 1A ball as long as Mayfield is in that classification. I think Mayfield has a ton of good players on the way up. Beechwood may win some titles with Mayfield in 1A but dominate....NO WAY.

Beechwood is a great program, no doubt. They have just been unfortunate to a degree to have ran up against some of Mayfield's stronger teams that have been on quite a run the last 5 years. even in 95 and 02, those were a couple of Mayfield's better teams ever. Mayfield and Beechwood will always be competing for championships because they have that type of program, tradition and coaching staffs to make sure of it. I do think next year, Mayfield will struggle some as they lose a ton of srs and a QB that's been at the helm for 3 1/2 yrs. But, as always, I expect the new faces to step up and keep them in the hunt. Neither team is going anywhere, but, I don't see Mayfield continuing it's 1a dominance quite as much in the upcoming years and I'm sure B'Wood will get another run of there own soon enough like they enjoyed back in the 90's. It runs in cycles.
