If both teams move up when is it suppose to happen?

I'm not saying Beechwood won't ever beat Mayfield, I just don't think they will dominate 1A like one poster suggested.

As to the outcome of this season being some indicator that change is needed, personally I think the Tigers accomplished just about what they were capable of. Yes, they may have fallen one game short but I didn't see them beating Mayfield this year. I kept seeing visions of 2009 if Beechwood made it to the Mayfield game. I don't think the Tigers would have been shut out but it would have taken a lot going right for Beechwood to be in the game.

 

Consistency? - This is the first time in the Rash era that he hasn't made the state semi-finals.

 

Support of the Faithful? - Yes, Rash has it. He doesn't have the support of the faithless. Those people still living in la la land of a different era of the 90's are always going to question Rash. Next year will be a big year for them. Rash needs one more title to add to his other two titles. It could definitely happen next year with a young team returning almost everyone. Get that third title and all this type of talk looks very silly.

And I agree. There really are very few that I have heard making these types of statements. Perhaps one hand's worth I have heard. They are all 90's Yeagle guys. So don't let one or two threads on here cause you to think there is any kind of an uproar. There isn't. And honestly, some of it is healthy because it means the standards are state championship high. No one in Ft. Mitchell is satisfied tonight.

Yeah, actually, I probably misstated that a little. It is more Barre guys than Yeagle guys. But I called them Yeagle guys because they all lived through the whole 90's era rooting on state champions.

Beechwood High School has the most talented coaching staff in No. Ky. PERIOD! They are simply a year away from getting back to dominating Class A football. Loaded with Sophmores, who will grow into being great players, it is difficult to beat teams that are loaded with upperclassmen. Once they get the talent level back up by winning State Championships, they will once again reign as a Class A powerhouse. You can be the worst coach in the world and win with talent, yet you can also be the greatest coach in the world and not beat anyone with a lack of talent. This is not to take away from the upperclassmen Beechwood had this year. I believe they lost a few solid seniors early in the year due to injury. This really hurts a smaller school where 1-2 players can make all the difference in the world. The bottom line is, I would take Beechwood's coaching staff over any staff in No. Ky. without question! Take it from someone who knows what they are talking about. You can complain, blame it on the coaches, do all the things that frustrated fans do, but in the end you have to look beyond that and ask yourself if you really have the horses to get it done? If Beechwood had the upperclassmen horses and failed to advance, I would understand what you are saying. I think you will be singing a different tune next year and the years following!

At some point, to be a Great Coach, you have to win with less. It's that simple. Good Coaches win with Good Players, "Great" coaches win with all kinds of teams. So tell me, what makes them Great or the Best in NKY if they have to have the top talent in order to win? Dont' coaches have to develop the talent too?

I really believe Beechwood would have two maybe three more championships the last four years if Mayfield didn't have some of their best teams in that period.

Ironically, the year that Beechwood really had the team to win it all, (and IMO one of the best teams I have ever seen at Beechwood) the Tigers not only lost to Mayfield but cost Mayfield a title as well IMO - so neither of them got the title.

They may be the most vocal, but there are many Beechwood Fans who feel the same way. Fans from every era. Young and old, newly minted ones and those that know what Edgar McNabb looked like.

I disagree with you that they aren't in the top 5. I'm not saying they are number 1 but they do have a top notch staff.

 

Tell me what they have done? Have they won anything they weren't supposed to win? I say no.

 

So all of the backers need to answer the question What have they done? What makes them a "Top Notch" staff? I want details.
