I saw a tweet from CBS that said Rodgers is 5-17 in games decided 4pts or less. That was a mind blowing stat. Bottom line the Bengals defense is deep and talented. One of the best units in the NFL. How far we go will depend on Dalton limiting turnovers and just allowing playmakers to make plays. Dalton frustrates me , but this team is to talented . He needs to grow for the Bengals to go far.

Let's be clear here, the turnovers sucked and Dalton had one of them. But in no way was he a part of the other 3.

Dalton is not an elite QB who will win games alone, he just can't lose games and he didn't today.

You seriously going to continue with this. There is a reason why the 3 out of the 4 starters in the secondary in 2005 didn't last in the league more than a year after the 2005 season. Once again the two corners on that team did a great job at making picks on bad thrown balls. Those two corners had to play off coverage man most of the time because they couldn't guard the WR's close. Which is why most teams tore up the Bengals passing the ball that year and finished 27th against the pass. Most of the passes QB's thrown against them were completed, but playing off coverage man did allow them to do a good job at picking off poorly thrown balls.

 

That secondary finished 27th against the pass, and the current secondary hasn't allowed a 300 yard passes in 17 or so straight games. If they were as bad as you claim, then the pass rush wouldn't even matter. I know this team keeps proving you wrong, and you find that hard to handle, so you have to grasp at straws. Its ok man to be wrong, just enjoy the victory.

You are starting to confirm what I thought. You seem to like talking more when things go bad so you can complain and talk about how you were right about them. Just like when you made those post today laughing when things didn't look to good. Then the Bengals win, and you are hardly anywhere to be found and the only post you make is trying to back up your 2005 claim. Then trying to still back up your jumping of the gun post in the other threads before the game was even over. You may just be busy, but I would bet good money if they had lost you would have made time to get your usual complaints in just like you made time to comment back on the things you tried to backtrack on. If you are not complaining or being negative about them then you don't know what to do lol.

 

I don't know about you, but I would be more than willing to just admit I was wrong as long as it met my favorite team was winning. Instead of trying to continue to defend your statements that are starting to be shown to be wrong. The whole talent thing, the whole defensive back thing by still not allowing a 300 yard passer in 17 straight games. The only arguments still valid are the coaching, and if Dalton can get it done. Those two things are still valid and something all people would agree on.

Fun atmosphere! So many Packer fans. Did not get to see any of the game. But it was great to be surrounded by all the Cheeseheads!

GB did not capitalize on more than enough opportunities given to them by Cincy. Cincy's secondary did an excellent job taking anything deep away from Rodgers and company. Not too thrilled with the game, but like I said before the season started, another 11-5/10-6 year for the Pack with a early playoff exit.

He had two of them. Pick to 37 and a fumble.

Great defensive effort including two straight passes batted down at the LOS at crunch time. Imagine what people would be saying about Dalton had it been the last two Bengal passes in a row batted down. Fun game to watch in spite of the excessive TO's.

Bengals have the defense to win a Super Bowl. But not an offense, as of right now.

what are you talking about?You said the exact same thing I've said for awhile now about DB's If you don't have a good D-Line to get pressure on the QB your passing defense will not be very good. That is what you just said in the other post and now that you realize you said the same thing I said you are now backpedaling?

 

Why? Just admit that the D-liine is a direct aspect to your passing defense.

Oh my, Gio is special. We all saw the highlights of him spinning in the air on that TD run. However, he gave himself up in the air on a few other plays as well. He gets low, waits for blocks, looks for creases, and then he runs hard. The defense does not see him until he has gone 3 or 4 yards. It was nice to see him take that pass and race down the left sidelines. He is definitely our "Ray Rice" or "Brian Westbrook". I would love to see him really break one on a rush. On the other hand, the Law Firm is getting old. BJGE is still "serviceable", but the Bengals need to get Gio the ball as much as possible. Forget 50-50 balance.

 

By the way, the atmosphere at PBS was electric with the mixture of fans. When those in green started there "GO Pack", Bengals fans did a good job of booing them down. The last time I was that excited on one play (the fumble return for a TD) was when Peter Warrick returned that punt for a TD against KC in 2003. I know there have been good plays to win ball games since then, but I am referring to the ones that I witnessed.

 

Also, I got hit by a cheesehead thrown from the top deck. I'm glad they are relatively soft. I should have kept it, but a very embarrassed GB fan came down to retrieve it.

He got killed twice on the same play. Not many would've held on to the ball there. That one was on the O-line.

?? He has to have better ball security than that. He tried to stretch a play and minimize the lost yardage from the sack and didn't put the ball away. That's like saying that BJGE's fumble wasn't his fault.
