September 22, 201313 yr We just got back from Myrtle Beach this morning. The wife and I usually combine for long drives but we didn't this time. 624 miles, 170 of that in a violent down pour. We stopped for a bathroom break in Spartansburg and again in Pinevile but the breaks combined were less than 10 minutes. This was the first time we've traveled back through the Cumberland Gap and I liked it much more than venturing up 75 from Knoxville. I know one thing, the stress level from Corbin to Burlington was off the chart with the wet stuff. What is the longest you've driven without a pronounced break?

September 22, 201313 yr With someone in the car it was NKY to Orlando, I prefer to be behind the wheel as much of the drive as I can. By myself the furthest I can think of is NKY to Bowling Green,KY.

September 22, 201313 yr I once drove from Owensboro, KY to Minneapolis, MN by myself. Only stopped twice at Janesville, WI and Eau Claire, WI. Over 700 miles. I was completely worn out.
September 22, 201313 yr Boca Raton, Fl. to Louisville. Was on college co-op and it was December 23rd and had friends fiance so that he could stay and make a few extra dollars and she could be with family on Christmas. About 19 1/2 hours starting at 4 a.m. and ending after 11 p.m. Temp went from low 70s to low teens during drive. I got us out of Florida (like Alabama - its forever) dozed and woke up in in the middle of Macon on I-75. She did not know that the bypass was the direct route at Macon. Have also done MB to Lexington in one shot a few times.
September 22, 201313 yr Any drive that has required me to go north on I-71. Gotta be the most boring stretch of road in the history of roads.
