True blue (and gold)
I've never been out to Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, etc., so I'll take your word that it's boring for around here. I used to drive the Bluegrass Parkway a lot. I thought that was the most boring stretch of road anywhere nearby. Until I had to drive the Western Kentucky Parkway a few times. Made the BG Parkway look like the Vegas Strip. The western half of Kansas on I-70 is awful. I have no idea why anyone choses to live there. True blue (and gold)
I have driven from my house to Pueblo, CO, and back numerous times. In a single shot, it takes 19-21 hours. It's about 1150 miles. I now always do it over two days.

gametime
And by far the worst stretch I have ever driven is I-40 entering North Carolina at night. Brutal...

littleluck55
My dad and I drove straight thru from Reno NV to Cincinnati only stopping for bathroom and food. 2200 miles and took us about 35 hours. Two years ago drove Cincinnati to Yellowstone with one overnight stop and I was the only driver.

NEERFAN
And by far the worst stretch I have ever driven is I-40 entering North Carolina at night. Brutal... We were lucky this time on that stretch. Both ways we were in that spot around 2am and the traffic was sparse. You know a road is bad when every few miles you see a stretch named after a NC trooper that has passed away during traffic stops. I'd love to know what the elevation is from starting at the TN line. When you are traveling West you really don't even need to use the gas, it's crazy. There is a stretch on I77 from WV to VA that rivals that stretch of I40. Bengal Maniac
NKY to St Pete several times when I was younger with only the cursory gas and restroom breaks. Can't do it anymore, though. Usually overnight south of Macon.
