What is the longest drive you've made?

We were lucky this time on that stretch. Both ways we were in that spot around 2am and the traffic was sparse. You know a road is bad when every few miles you see a stretch named after a NC trooper that has passed away during traffic stops. I'd love to know what the elevation is from starting at the TN line. When you are traveling West you really don't even need to use the gas, it's crazy. There is a stretch on I77 from WV to VA that rivals that stretch of I40.

I drove that once in pouring rain for about 30 minutes and seemed like two years. The absolute hardest drive I have ever had.

Longest drive? about 340 yards on a par 5.

In a car, 14 hours worth to New Orleans, did it twice. Only took us about 12 on the way home the one year.

In a plane, it once took me 36 hours from the time I left my house till the time I walked into my hotel room in Hong Kong.

Longest Drive I've made was about 1850 miles. When I was in the military I made the drive from Williams AFB outside Chandler/Phoenix AZ back home in KY. Coldest drive ever, had an old 72 mustang with no heat and a hole in the floor where the cold wind would blow through. Made the drive in Jan that year and it was freezing. Averaged about 90mph all the way home. Made the trip twice, the last time in record time, just over 19 hours. I was flying lol.

In one day by myself, longest I ever did was from Denver to Lexington. Left a Denver Denny's about 12:45 am or so on an early Friday morning after being awakened and then not being able to go back to sleep in my hotel, decided to just leave. Got to a around Salina KS I think and was so freaking tired from no sleep just stopped in a truck stop parking lot and tried to sleep. Dozed on and off for maybe 1 1/2 hours, just couldn't sleep from all the noise the trucks were making coming and going, so cranked up and drove the rest of the way. Got to Lexington about 11:00pm I think, maybe a little before. Long day I tell you that. Slept like a rock.

Longest multi day, ETS from the Army, from Monterey CA to Grass Valley OR, spent a couple of days visiting with a friend. Grass Valley OR to Paducah KY. Picked up Army buddy, then drove to Eden NC, then to the Outer Banks. All in a little 1986 Mazda B2000 pick up. Ahhh those were the days.

Those flights to Asia are something else. The time zones change, the day change.....something else.

Longest drive would have to be Danville to Destin at about 11-12 hours. I like to leave at 11pm on long trips so everyone will sleep most of the way there and I like to arrive at my destination around noon when driving. I've done Danville to Bradford, PA twice which is about 10 hours each way and Danville to Myrtle Beach I can do in about 8-9 hours.

I hate stopping for anything. I'd love to be in a cannonball run sometime if I could have Randy Parker as my driving partner. We'd smash folks.

My longest travel has me right at about 24 hours of travel from Lexington to Kakegawa, Japan. It's about 17 total hours by plane and then another 2 hours by train. Add in the waiting for departure and it's about 24 hours. I'll leave Lexington at around 8am on a Friday and walk into my hotel room at 9-10pm(About 8am EST-Saturday) on Saturday night in Japan. Crazy........
