The time has come to say Goodbye

I joined BGP on January 11, 2002 right smack in the middle of the Rose Hill/Ashland wars. I've had some great fun over the years. I've met some great people, and made some life long friends thru BGP. A lot of things have happened over those 11 years. I lost my dad to cancer on March 9th of 2002. My twins were born January 30, 2003. A lot of you have seen them grow up thru my avatars over the years. I'm not sure exactly when I became a moderator, but I thank theguru for the opportunity to become a member of the Mod Squad several years ago, and then to become an Administrator a couple of years after that. I've had a lot of fun doing both jobs. I've had fun messing with some of you over the years, and it's all been in good fun on my end. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. As we all know all good things must come to an end. Guru and I have both come to an agreement that it's probably a good time for us to part ways. I'm going to miss a lot of you. BGP has been like a family in many ways over the past 11 years. There have been some that I've had arguments or disagreements on many subjects in the past, but I hope you know I've never meant to get personal, hurt feelings, or be disrespectful to any of you. If I have, please accept my apology.

I'll probably stop by from time to time, and mostly read in the Reds threads, but this will be my last post on BGP. I've always hated it when posters have made these type post, but I promise that you won't have to worry about me showing back up, and posting 2 weeks later. I am friends with several of you on Facebook, and I'm hoping we can stay in touch that way.

This is the old fat man rounding 3rd, and heading for home. Goodbye everyone.

And the site will never be the same.

Well, I think this sucks, but you obviously know what is best for you. We've become great friends on here and I will miss your posts and some of the conversations we have had over the years. Your contributions to BGP can't be measured, LRCW. God Bless you buddy, I wish you nothing but the best in life both for you and your family. You are one of the good guys, somebody I have always respected and trusted. Take care and farewell, my friend.

Well that sucks. Take care my man, it's been a blast...

It feels like a death in the family! :( Cheerio my friend.

Hate to see long term members leave, and I hate to see friends leave, but I guess everyone has to decide when it's time for other things.

Hope all is well, but I also hope you change your mind later on. Been a great time on here. Now who will I argue with about the Reds and Braves?

There's no shame in returning later on, hat in hand. Hopefully, we can all look forward to that day. Until then, I wish you well.

I take a break from time to time when I get busy at work but always stay not too far away.

Reds baseball on BGP will never be the same without you LRCW. Take care brother!

Hopefully you make at least one more additional post when our Redlegs win the World Series this year.

Best wishes LRCW. I hope you come back to visit often. Your unique tormented view of the Reds will be missed. The Reds threads will not be the same without you. Enjoy those twins!

Hope all is well. We will sure miss you in the Reds threads, they won't be the same without you. :thumb:

Hate to see you go, LRCW. I always felt welcomed by you. You will be missed.
