Letter from Ft. Mitchell about the Red Zone (old Indigo's).

Just wait until Bandi-Corp(the new owners of Drawbridge) put a Wallmart at that location. The Ft Mitchell snobs will be up in arms. They don't want to buy their cammo panties in the same city that they live in!

Went by the place around 5:30 and quite a few cars in the lot. Went back by around 7:30 and the lot was mostly full. Hope they do well. Anyone eaten there yet?

Bandi-Corp, or Brandi-Corp? I know that years ago a company called Brandi-Corp had a relationship of sorts with the owners of the Drawbridge.

Also, it was my understanding that there has already been a start on the necessary zoning changes to have the area zoned for a future mixed-use type development. (Think a dumbed down version of the Cincinnati Banks project.)

1) Villa Hills can get more screwed up.

2) Ridiculous signs? Guess people aren't allowed to voice their opinion or show support anymore?? Missed the memo repealing the First Amendment.

3) Sounds like the mayor is trying to put fear into the new owner of the restaurant.

Actually, Villa Hills is pretty embarrassing. You talk about the mayor, isn't your mayor the guy who was arrested for DUI and now wants to do away with the police dept.? lol

People in glass houses...

Redzone closed their doors today.

No surprise. I haven't seen more than a couple cars in the parking lot at any time in the last few months. Went in there once and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't anything worth doing again.

Gave it a shot and was less than impressed. Indigo's was much better. Not surprised by the closing.

Wrong product for the neighborhood. My understanding is that the FMPD won't be upset they're closed (except when it gets to be the time of the month to make quotas).

I really wanted this place to make it. We went there three times, each time with mediocre food. We once went there after a funeral. The waitress was clearly stoned. She had no idea what was going on. She spilled salsa all over my friend's suit coat with no apology. It was a disaster.

This is a good location. I hope someone buys it and makes something good.

For what it's worth, I would be shocked if less than 75 percent of the servers/bartenders who have ever waited on you were stoned. Some are just able to function, while others aren't.

Boy, that's a problem being stoned/drunk on the job.

Lol, you might be right about that. I will say that I worked in the restautant industry in high school and college. I met some great people just struggling to make it, but met my fair share of questionable people as well.

The very first night of my restaurant work career, it took seven people to walk one bag of trash out to the communal dumpster. Three were waitresses.

Poor service, of course they had an excuse. Food was average for bar food at best. Prices fair. Not shocked here.

Having worked in the food business during graduate school, not being able to function has very little to do with what one may partake of before or during work...quite honestly some need it just to deal with the work itself.
