And the two comments thus far:

sounds to me like you need to vote this mayor out of office

AND

There used to be a brothel/crack house across the street and now the color scheme concerns the citizens of Ft Mitchell?

I see possibly talking to the new owners and let them know where the city stands, but to go public and call out the business before it opens is out of line. Even letting a new business know where you stand can be tricky, you don't want to tick a business off even before they open their doors.

Dammit, there is a country club in the neighborhood. People need to be respectful!

They have issues:

Kid got killed month ago.

Brothel closed months ago

Paint scheme isn't right on the bar.

Now I'm hearing that non-residents are not allowed to make eye contact with residents at Super Kroger.

kyyank is on a roll ... :lol2: Keep 'em coming.

Definitely a case of Ft. Mitchell "over achievement" on this restaurant "investigation". I guess this is the dark side of Ft. Mitchell type A's. Personally, I find it all amusing. Maybe the Olde Ft. Mitchell crowd should think about the added tax revenue reducing their bill?

Truly, the place backs up basically to the highway with the post road separating the haves from the have nots. Outside of a band playing, what type of noise can they make that the neighbors would hear that would not be drowned out by all the background noise?

More comments from FB:

I agree. Not great color, but its someone with a legitimate business and improving the city. We need to be more welcoming. We sure sound snobby

"We will continue to monitor the situation..." What "situation"??? Someone wants to put a self-described family friendly business in our community. I welcome that. It almost sounds like harassment.

Get a life citizens of Fort Mitchell!

Don't lump us all together. It's a small vocal minority .

Our elected officials have better things to do!

I am embarrassed for all of the wonderful people of Ft Mitchell who embrace local merchants. While no longer residing in Ft Mitchell, we still belong to Beechwood Swim Club, still support the schools and while our girls take many classes at Moss Dance in Ft Wright, we are excited to have another local place to eat!

I am glad xxx and others are vocal in their support. Welcome RedZone! I look forward to visiting soon!

Might have the opportunity to visit soon. Sounds like someplace I should stop by!

What's the big deal with the color and how is it the city's business what color it is?

There has been a restaurant of some sort at that location for decades. As far as I can remember, all those restaurants served alcohol. I don't understand why there are complaints now. I too, am looking forward to trying it out.

I also believe that the people who complained do not represent the majority of the city.

The hotel. Pretty good rates there. Variety of options. Good chance of catching something tho.

Don't let word get out. Al Czervik may want to build a hotel and paint it something other than muted gray.

Sounds like you speak from "some sort of knowledge" of this former establishment. :lol2:

Umm no, I heard about it from some friends who stayed there. yeah, that's it.
