Letter from Ft. Mitchell about the Red Zone (old Indigo's).

The service was terrible. With Wings & Rings doing very well up the road and B-Dubs/Dickmans not far, no surprise it didn't make it.

Average food and below average service the few times that I actually went.

Any opinions about what would be good here? When I was young it was the Hearthstone, a small nice place to go. Personally, I am tired of the bar food places. I would love to see a place like Virgil's in Bellevue go there.

Great question. I like the location but it seems like most businesses (except Mercedes) struggle on that stretch of Dixie.

Is Christ Medical Associates/Hospital occupying that whole plaza down the road on Dixie?

Not sure, but I heard they own everything but the old Pizza Hut. There was a rumor that the old Pizza Hut was going to be a new Buona Vita, also from Bellevue, but I haven't seen any recent evidence that this was true. Though, a great Italian restaurant like that might do well at the old Red Zone.

If they weren't already working on fitting out a location in Crescent Springs, I'd say this would be a PERFECT spot for the Joe & Matthew Frommeyer to open up a second location of Buona Vita.

Would be a great place for a Cop bar.

I heard awhile back that they were going into the old Pizza Hut down the street. Guess I was wrong, but very glad to hear they will be someplace close. Maybe it is not too late to get them here.

They're going to be in Crescent Springs right by Miyako Sushi & Steak House.

I have some connections to the establishment and, according to them, it was shocking the amount of drug use by most of the staff. So, the place shutting down isn't a shocker to me at all.

I keep hearing the rumor going around that the bartender - nice guy who is ALWAYS there bartending - is in the process of buying the building and will be re-opening once the transition occurs.

Really odd to me that such a nice area of town seems to have no luck in putting the right businesses along such a short stretch of road that should be perfect for the right industries. To me, it's shocking a gym hasn't been put anywhere along that stretch. Not sure how long that new health equipment facility will last there...seems an odd fit.

I hope things get better in the next decade along that stretch.

I really wanted this place to make it. We went there three times, each time with mediocre food. We once went there after a funeral. The waitress was clearly stoned. She had no idea what was going on. She spilled salsa all over my friend's suit coat with no apology. It was a disaster.

This is a good location. I hope someone buys it and makes something good.

Boneless wings were the best around. I know they have another location in OH. Talked to them about sponsorship, but they fired their GM and I believe another Partner was running this location.

I have heard that this place is scheduled to reopen. I'm not 100% sure on the timeline or the new name, but I know that it is "in the works".

Yes, someone is working on opening a new restaurant in that location. I don't have details either but I know it is happening according to a neighbor to the location.

It appears they are doing some work on the backside of the building. It looks better with the white paint, black trim.
