You always are the bearer of good thoughts p-man.

They might as well tear the building down and make it a second police stations for Fort Mitchell's finest. There always there.

Just in, all Ft Mitchell business must be painted in an adapting camo color in the summer and a brisk white in the winter in order to be as invisible as possible. They must also broadcast white noise to negate any noise from the property.

The Saddle Club begs to differ.

I drove by this place last night and it doesn't look like anything is going on there as far as a new business.

They've spruced up the frontage, surely it's just a matter of time. A Barleycorns type joint should flourish there.

When by in late July and there was new sign called the Public House

A week later the sign was gone

Wasn't that the type of atmosphere Red Zone and Indigo's were going for?

Never been to either one but I'd say they were in the same ballpark. Indigo seemed to be there a while. Anyone know how long it existed?

I heard it was going to be called Ft. Mitchell Pub. Seems like a lot of work going on but no one seems to know any details.

I used to love to have lunch or dinner on nice days in Indigo's garden, and found it to be reasonably priced for a place that had that certain special touch with a lovely clean and quiet atmosphere.

I've nothing against a sports bar, but thought it to be such a waste of a treasured spot to paint it an ugly color, and change the vibe. The Indigo interior was fine, but if I were to go there it would only be for the garden experience.

I was terribly disappointed to see Indigo leave, and a stupid idea replace it. Not too surprised that Red Zone wasn't successful, as it appears that I wasn't the only one who had no interest in a place that lacked vision by eliminating what worked to replace it with something all wrong for the location.

Hopefully whoever is going to run it in the future has the wisdom to utilize it in the way that once made it a place worthy of repeat customers who understood what once made it special.

Never heard why Indigo left in the first place, but as far as I know they still operate a successful Hyde Park location.

I agree with you. Indigos was nice and different, but I think business dropped off. The Hearthstone, which it was when I was young was a special place. McKeevers and Red Zone not so much.

Emily Wolff (a Ft. Mitchell native) and her husband made Ottos such a great success and have recently opened a new restaurant in Covington. They work hard, have great vision, and created their own niche.

I hope whoever is opening it has some of their creativity. I would hate to see a few more TVS slapped on the walls and chicken wings served.

Red Zone owner will not sell/transfer liquor license to new owner, thus the hold up in reopening the space. Heard sometime later in Fall is best bet for it to be up and running.

Those things are gold man.
