March 25, 201412 yr Willis and Hood were different players than Kennard but very,very good their junior and senior years, as was Polson. They didn't get the nation wide pub because Duke didn't recruit them. He's not any better than any of those 3 from the limited video that have seen of him What? Kennard is considered one of the ELITE shooters in the country and he's not better than a guy that can't get on the floor and another who one D1 school offered? Come on.

Jarrod Polson, 18.2 points, 6.4 assists. Luke Kennard, 41 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, winning Mr. Basketball in Ohio and leading his team to an 18-3 record. Those are stats from Hood's senior year, Polson's senior year and Kennard's junior year. I'll let you be the judge based on that alone; ignoring all the film which proves Kennard's better as well.

All have seen of Kennard is on YouTube and he may and should end up better than those 3. But all 3 of those guys could shoot and penetrate in high school as well as have seen Kennard on his tape, in my opinion. March 25, 201412 yr If you are a life long UK fan there is no way you could go to Duke.........PERIOD!! Maybe he thought it was a better fit for his basketball future, or possibly his academic future. UK could have really used him, hope he does well at Duke.

Also none was recruited as hard either. It's a simple fact it's not a knock on Polson, Hood, or Willis but to compare them to Kennard is just silly.
March 25, 201412 yr Best of luck to the kid and he was one that I would have really liked to have seen at UK.. He seems like a very likeable player and he chose Duke despite having a heavy influence of UK fans around him. I wish him the best of luck.

Man you guys are tough on opinions unlike your own, not worth getting upset about I saw Hood play in high school on his school team and I could not believe he was going to UK. I then watched him in person in the Ky/Ind All Star game and he was overmatched by the Indiana team and that team had several D1 players on it.
March 25, 201412 yr Like Cal says, UK not for everybody. Will this kid leave Duke early? Sounds like he will be gone early if as good as advertised. No degree, then the whole Duke education factor is over blown. Have seen many, many "can't misses" over the users who turned out to be anything but. The list is long. I will judge him by what he does in college not high school.
