I'm hearing that the bombs were in trash cans, and everyone talking about flying glass. My thought is wouldn't an explosion outside blow the glass into the building? Wouldn't the bomb have to be inside the building to blow the glass out like that?

As of 5:08 flights are as planned. Coming and going. I leave at 6:00 and have my fingers crossed.

Could the suspects be sending some type of message with it being April 15th? Boston Tea Party comparisons with it being tax day? Just throwing it out there. The world has just become a brutal place.

Obama is supposed to be addressing the nation at about 6:10.

Son called us on his cell an hour ago or so; walking home from work (in Boston/Cambridge).

 

He and daughter-in-law were there Saturday afternoon scoping the place out and shopping. He teaches night class on Mondays so they didn't plan on attending the Marathon today; otherwise would have gone.

 

Night class cancelled.

Every other outlet out there is still saying 2 dead, not 12. Also, there is no suspect in custody. Yet another reason why people, and 24/7 news outlets, should wait.

NBC News just said one of the 2 killed was only 8 years old.

Sick, sick people.
