After the way the media tends to overblow everything for ratings, I like to wait until the dust settles before judging anything, anymore. Nobody knows all the facts, at least for a couple of days.

 

I was flipping around the news channels last night, as I usually do when something of this magnitude happens, and came upon Al Jazeera's coverage of the event. Same as the others, lack of facts and meaningless interviews, but I did notice the ticker scrolling across the bottom of the screen. Contained in the headlines was 33 killed and 160 injured in bombings throughout Iraq yesterday.

 

Put things into perspective, for me anyway.

I was going to say that about the back pack. I highly doubt they just carried a pressure cooker down there.

So, it seems like this is it. This may be all they have on this guy. I hope they at least find a picture or two of him, I would hope.

I have moved all political posts to the politics forum. That is exactly where any other political posts need to be made.

Had a lot of rage built up when I heard about this and that only doubled today when I watched some videos of the attack. It's so frustrating that these things can happen.

 

I can't lie, the thought crossed my mind that someone could easily copy cat this while I was funneling out of GABP last night.

The 3rd death was a BU grad student, name will be released later.

I have been listening to the radio and it was mentioned that there were probably many cameras and iPhones snapping pictures at the finish line from the 2 hour first finisher point to the 4:09 explosion. Hope everyone is scanning the background of the pictures. Maybe our bomber is there.
